Effective date: April 2026. This Cookie Policy explains how Florida Daycares uses cookies and similar technologies on floridadaycares.in (the “Site”). Read it together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember preferences between visits, and to provide information to site owners and advertisers about how the site is being used.
Cookies we use
- Essential cookies — required for core directory functionality: session management, comment posting, remembering which city you last browsed, and submitting the request-info and claim-your-listing forms. These cannot be disabled without breaking the Site.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — help us understand how parents and providers find and use the directory so we can improve navigation and add the city guides that readers actually need. The data is aggregated and anonymised.
- Advertising cookies (Google AdSense, DART) — used to serve relevant ads alongside our directory content. You can opt out of personalised ads via the Google Ads Settings page.
- Performance cookies (LiteSpeed Cache) — used by our hosting layer to serve pages faster. These do not track you across sites.
Lead-form submissions
When you submit a request-info form or claim-your-listing form, we use an essential cookie to record that the form was submitted so we can show you a confirmation message and prevent duplicate submissions. The contents of your submission (name, email, message) are emailed to our editorial team and handled as described in the Privacy Policy — not stored in a cookie on your device.
Managing cookies
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can block or delete cookies, though some parts of the Site — including the request-info and claim-your-listing forms — may not work correctly without them. For general information about cookies and how to manage them across browsers, see aboutcookies.org.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Industry standards for DNT are still unsettled, and we currently do not alter our behaviour in response to DNT. You can still opt out of analytics and advertising tracking using the tools linked above.
Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as the tools we use evolve. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a new effective date. Questions about cookies or this policy: giveitlegs@live.com.
