Author: Danielle McLean Rating: 5/5 Date: 4/24/2024, 1:19:33 PM Review: My son started in PreK3 this year, coming from a daycare/early learning center. Before he came here, it was a fight to get him dressed and in the car to go to school--he never wanted to attend. He acted out at dropoff and coming home. Since coming to St. John, he bounces out of bed each day and asks to go to school! He wants to see his friends and his teachers and is a changed little guy. St. John is a safe environment full of caring teachers and staff. ----- Author: Jenny Ochoa Rating: 5/5 Date: 1/18/2024, 4:14:05 PM Review: We are beyond thankful for our school every day. My girls have both thrived academically, socially, spiritually and athletically. The school focuses on the whole child and helps encourage growth, both inside and outside the classroom. Each teacher has invested in my kids and taken a genuine interest in their well-being and development. There has been constant communication with their teachers, and I never have to worry that our kids will get lost in the shuffle, as the classes are small and each child matters. The administration encourages and expects parental involvement in the education process. I think some parents expect a school to raise their children for them, and that's not what it's all about. It's a true partnership. My kids are happy and feel safe. This school truly feels like family. There is no such thing as a perfect school, but it has been pretty darn close for our family. We are forever grateful for the blessing of this school.

Author: greg denardis Rating: 5/5 Date: 4/23/2024, 8:21:36 PM Review: St. John's Lutheran School is an educational gem that shines brightly in our community. From the moment we stepped through its doors, we were welcomed into a nurturing environment where both academic excellence and character development are held in high regard. The faculty and staff at St. John's are truly exceptional. They go above and beyond to ensure that each student receives personalized attention and support, fostering a love for learning that extends far beyond the classroom. Their dedication to both intellectual and emotional growth is evident in every interaction and lesson. The curriculum at St. John's is rigorous yet engaging, designed to challenge students while also catering to their individual needs and learning styles. We've been consistently impressed by the depth of knowledge our children has gained across a wide range of subjects, as well as the critical thinking skills they've developed through hands-on activities and collaborative projects. Beyond academics, St. John's places a strong emphasis on Christian education and community involvement. Through service projects, leadership opportunities, and daily acts of kindness, students learn the importance of empathy, compassion, and responsibility. It's heartwarming to see how these values are instilled in every aspect of school life, creating a supportive and Christian environment where every child feels valued and respected. We feel incredibly grateful to be a part of the St. John's family and wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent seeking an exceptional educational experience for their child. ----- Author: Christen Mejias Rating: 5/5 Date: 1/12/2024, 11:54:35 PM Review: Two years ago, we made the decision to send our daughters to St. John Lutheran School, and it's been one of the best choices we've ever made. From the moment they stepped through the doors, they were welcomed in a warm environment that fosters a love of learning and a sense of belonging. The curriculum is dynamic, interactive, and sparks curiosity in both my girls. They're constantly excited to share what they're learning. The teachers have been exceptional. They've been patient, encouraging, and always available to offer support, both academic and emotional. We've experienced nothing but a strong sense of community, both within the classroom and beyond. Class sizes are small which allows for personalized attention. The small school size allows for genuine friendships to blossom, and I don't feel like my girls are just faces in a crowd. The school also organizes numerous events and activities that bring everyone together. If you're looking for a school that will truly care for your child's academic, emotional, and social development, look no further!

The tone in her voice immediately changed and she said everything in the world to discourage me from applying. My son will not be going to this school. How disgusting to be a “Christian” school and discriminate toward children the way God created him to be. ----- Author: Tracy Williams Rating: 5/5 Date: 4/24/2024, 12:58:53 PM Review: My grandkids are the third generation of Saints! Great teachers, strong Christian education, rigorous curriculum, and a focus on excellence. Go SAINTS! ----- Author: Margarita Gonzalez Rating: 5/5 Date: 4/23/2024, 10:55:49 PM Review: I love the culture of St. John Lutheran School, and how everyone in the school is like a family. As students arrive at school each student is greeted with fist bumps by Principal Knoepfel. Mrs. Lacey greets every student as they walk in by their names with a sweet disposition. The school has activities such as Lutheran Week, that brings everyone closer. Administration, teachers, and everyone on staff is extremely kind, helpful, but above all delivering an incredible Christian education to our children. I am grateful that my grandson is at this school and couldn't be happier!

I am a past student of St John and it’s a good school great education and all of the teachers I have had have been nice. Now on the other hand Pamela Lacey is one of the meanest principals I have ever had in my life. You can tell if she doesn’t like you. One day I was at recess in 6th grade and we were playing basketball with the 5th graders and I had the ball to pass to another teammate of mine and when I threw the ball one of the 5th graders ran in front of me and the ball hit him in the head. And of course I had no control over that and didn’t mean to hit him. But according to Lacey it was one of the worst things that could ever happen. She gave me a 3 day suspension for passing a basketball. I couldn’t hate anyone more than her.

This is our 2nd year at St. John and both my son and daughter enjoy attending! They felt immediately welcomed and loved from the start. For such a small school it has so much to offer! We are so glad to be a part of the St. John family!
