The sudden passing of our mother, left my disabled elderly brother missing his lifelong caregiver. With no clue how to even start the process, we visited many assisted living facilities without finding one place that we felt would be adequate and satisfactory to my mother's main concern, the care of her son after she was no longer with us. From the moment we contacted Jose and Barbie, they eased all our fears and assured us that they would help placing him and they definitely hit it out of the park. They sent me a few referrals and within minutes I was contacted by the owner of an ALF near my home. We knew from the time we walked into that home, that my brother would be well taken care of and our Mom would definitely rest in peace knowing that her son was in good hands. There are so many places I can begin to tell my mom's story, but I only find it fitting that I begin with thanking God for putting Barbie in our lives. My mom who lives with me had a really bad fall (brain bleed and orbital fracture). After a few days she was sent home. Five days later she falls again and gets discharged with physical therapy at home. The little my mom could walk was with alot of assistance. No rehabilitation center would take her. This is when I found Barbie and her H.O.P.E. company. I called her and explained everything to her. She flooded me with tons of information, options, advice, etc. I was so overwhelmed with everything happening with my mom that her information became a lifeline. As everyday passed, she continued to help me and ultimately find an a.l.f. less than a mile from my house. My mom was accepted into the a.l.f. and her welcoming was great. Even after everything, she continued to follow-up with me to see if there was anything else she could do for me (moving mom's stuff, emotional support, etc.). The world is a better place with Barbie and her H.O.P.E. I will forever be grateful. Raul Olivera
