I enrolled my grandson over a year ago and up until last week the only SILENT concern I've had was the cost for before & after school care and the CONSTANT closures for various events outside of normal holidays. I like many others work outside of Macclenny so SAFE & RELIABLE childcare is imperative. The cost would not be an issue however NOT pro-rating for the full day/half day multiple closures even knowing that parents now have to pay TWICE for the same childcare or lose hourly pay to accommodate for the closure is ridiculous and inconsiderate! This facility uses a messaging system to update parents on routine things, messages to individual parents', menus, payment, and calendar events/closures. All saved so it can be referred back to at any time, GREAT...one would think... However, on Dec. 15th, went to drop off my grandson only to find the facility CLOSED at 7:06am, called office...No one answered & No voicemail, pulled up app to check REVISED calendar at 7:29am (which downloads and saves to my phone, time stamped), I check messages... NOTHING showing anything about being closed! NOW what do I do??? Lose 2 1/2 hrs of pay to adjust! Enough already...I send administration a message: Can you explain to me why your closed but not on the calendar, posted or in messages, but my payment don't skip a beat!! An hour later, message posted from owner: Reminder to parents that they were closed for the 15th & 16th because some parents have been calling about it even though it's been posted since Oct. On the 19th, I receive an unprofessional & shaming message from the owner Terrian, I call her to discuss but she wouldn't let me get a word in, kept telling me I must have been looking at the wrong calendar & I needed to check again, so I check again while we're talking at 12:30pm... and what do I see... a new calendar with added dates that appeared to be squished in between the original dates of Thanksgiving closure of Nov. 24/25th and Dec. 20th PJ day. I tried to tell her that I downloaded the calendar from the messaging app at 7:29 the morning of the 15th and that was NOT on there, but she DID NOT want to hear it! She stated that another parent was outside the daycare the same time my daughter was to drop off as well and showed her the calendar which my daughter adamantly denies (as she is hearing this conversation). Then Terrian says the other parent had her cell # and called about the closure! She began yelling that I'm calling her a liar and thinks we should sever ties. Immediately she inactivates my account, and my grandson is no longer welcomed there! Once again, I lose 2hrs of pay because I now have no after school care for my grandson. She did reimburse my automatic payment short about $11! The 3 rating is for the facility itself & the staff who cares for the children! The lack of professionalism, extreme immaturity & blatant disrespect for parents' time and money by the owner Terrian is why I WILL NOT rate ABC Learning Center a 5! For those that have money to burn, have a come/go as you please work schedule or don't mind the disregard then have at it but for those who don't then this is NOT THE PLACE for you! I'm going to head off any shaming responses which will undoubtably come... I speak TRUTH, I have PROOF, & I DON'T CARE about the DEFENSE TACTICS because I KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE that has experienced this!

Can’t say enough great things about this daycare. It is clean & organized & we love that they communicate with you & send updates. Kids can be kids & they give all the kids a lot of grace & patience & we appreciate them very much!

Our girls have been attending ABC for close to a year and it has been by far the best choice we’ve made in childcare. I really appreciate the communication and updates they give us on our children. We will always recommend ABC!!!!

We love ABC. I’ve had three children enrolled at individual times with very limited concerns and none that were not addressed and or corrected. A great variety of activities. Large selection of entertainment outside of the school day. With a fun/safe playground. Communication with staff is excellent. No business is without imperfections but ABC is doing a great job!

My Daughter as been going here for about 5 months the teachers are awesome they take really good care of the children I highly recommend it

Very rude phone etiquette. When a customer is calling to inquire about your business, that mid morning attitude you have needs to be gone. Moving to a neighborhood close to this day care and I will just be choosing another one.

My son went to daycare here for a few months before I had to find another facility after they shut down for several weeks after COVID. The children were usually very well behaved from what I observed dropping him off. I absolutely adored Ms Natalie. She was always very welcoming to my little man, and it seemed like there were rarely issues when she was running the class. This place had a few drawbacks though, the main one being how often the center was closed. I totally understand holidays, but they close for pre-k graduation, closed early for prom, closed whole days for field trips, etc. I had a billing issue, quite a few biting incidents when he first started, and a few of the employees seemed to like drama, especially gossip about other employees. But I will say, after the first few weeks my son really started to love it here, and told me he missed it for weeks after we had to switch. The only reason he did not return after the long closure was because my work schedule does not allow me to take off for as many days they closed for non-holiday events(prior to COVID)

Love this school! They take such amazing care of my daughter. She is happy to go to school every day and comes home so proud and happy to share the new stuff she learned that day. Even when we go on vacation she asks if she can go in to see Ms Connie. Enrolling my child here was the best decision I could've made. Thank you!
