The kids had so much fun singing, telling us on the Mic where they are going to Kinder & showing us all the wonderful things they learned that year. The confidence each child possessed at 4-5 years old showed us how well prepared the curriculum was for PRE-K. We left with a full binder of all the arts & crafts, learning material from the year. The creative nature of learning, singing weekly with Ms Jeanine ( owner) & the outdoor shaded space each age group had was was sold me on the school. Olivia loved her teachers ( misses them & her friends) & was excited to go each day. They offer a school lunch program & use an app to communicate during the day with the teachers & see photos of daily activities. If you are touring child care or VPK spots I highly recommend including Windmill to your list.

I can’t say enough about Windmill Creek Academy. My son spent all of his daycare years at the creek & my daughter is just getting started. The atmosphere is Warm, Loving & Supportive. The children are encouraged to learn creatively, practice manners, & have fun being kids. The playground is large & protected with good tree coverage for shade. The Creek hosts a couple annual events open to parents, A well put together Padgent & Christmas event if memory serves. I couldn’t imagine a better environment to raise our kids when they’re away from us. Shout out to the gals running the show; Jennifer, Maria, Jessica & Director Janine are passionate in their profession & all our children benefit from it.

I was a preschool teacher for 12yrs before I had my daughter, so I was extra picky when it came time to send her to school. I had the hardest time finding something that fit her when we moved to the area. She went to WCA for VPK and I couldn’t have asked for better! My shy girl made friends quickly bc the teachers had made such a welcoming and safe environment for the kids. They always had something fun going on and they were phenomenal with communication both in person and thru the app. I felt confident that the campus was safe and secure and she loved her teachers. Ms. Jenn, the assistant director, was happy and welcoming every day and made our drop offs so easy. We both truly loved our time there!

Stay far away from this school. My experience with the infant room was amazing but once he was a confident walker he was in a room where the kids were forced to sit and watch TV (against DCF regulations) and were strapped to highchairs and left unattended in the bathroom for punishment. The owner and director are aware of this and don't care. DCF has caught them and owner denied it. I waited to share this review until my son was 5 so we wouldn't have to worry about backlash from this review. PLEASE STAY AWAY! I'd like to add, that DCF caught a child restrained in a high chair. Look up the DCF files on this school before leaving your child there.

Windmill Creek Academy has been the perfect fit for my family. The teachers are all so wonderful! I can tell they care deeply for my children. They know my kids personalities and some of the staff have been there since my neice went there 15 years ago! My kids have so much fun and learn so much here. The art projects they create are priceless. They have multiple playgrounds for each skill group, tons of learning toys and music class twice a week. They are open 7a-6p and they offer a lunch program! My oldest is in VPK and they have an app for easy communication between the teachers and it allows us to see what the kids do throughout each day.

Very bad option, not recommended, my 2 year old nephew went in there, it was his first time in a daycare, strange people, it is normal to feel scared, but for the people who work in that daycare, it is not normal for a child to cry for feeling alone, they did not even try to accept him another day, they just decided to call my sister, to look for him and they returned the money, I don't know where they got the permission for early child care.

I’d like to start off by saying, I took the time to share this review and was doubting to do so because I’m not one to leave reviews, but after my experience and reading other reviews I felt it was only right to those parents who might have first time daycare kids too. My daughter started here two weeks back, was sick 4 days later, and although she barely cried the first week, the second week was a little rough she’d cry periodically throughout the day and would only stop when being held according to the call I got on Thursday, also letting me know, my daughter had to be removed. As a working parent, I couldn’t imagine being put in that position until it happened to me. I was told my daughter wasn’t transitioning fast enough that by the second week she should be completely adjusted. Mind you, my daughter is 9 months, what 9 month is not going to cry specially only two weeks later, when in a complete different environment after being home with mom and grandma for 3 whole months.. Their answer was simply, “the teachers are worn out with her, and I cannot have my teachers worn out, when Theres other kids to care for and I can also not have other kids crying because your daughter is crying. Not every kid transitions in two weeks.. I have a 6 year old and it took him months to transition into daycare.. but imagine the teachers he had giving up on him and saying he’s just not ready it’s not the right fit.. NO KID IS EVER READY/WANTING TO LEAVE HOME TO GO TO DAYCARE AT FIRST! I mean seriously, my friends and family couldn’t believe it because that’s what teachers are daycares are for to help kids transition into those changes. Not only this but this was never fully brought to me with the understanding that it was an issue. I have saved texts from her teachers at the time letting me know some mornings were rough but that in the afternoon she was fine, literally for the whole two weeks. I’m ashamed to have chosen this place that I thought so highly of, specially because I’m now having to transition my daughter into a whole new place, but I am happy that it’s one who understands every child is different and needs different timing.

Our children attended this school for 6 weeks. The experience we had with our oldest and youngest son were vastly different. While my 4 year old loved his teacher, our youngest son became very sad to go to school every day. We often picked him up from school with a dirty diaper. He regressed in his potty training. The director of the school called us to discuss her concerns with my youngest son’s speech but only gave us a week to set something up before she ended up kicking my 2 year old out of her school. We just moved from the other side of the state and the director had no empathy for us trying to get settled in or the life change that our family, and more importantly our children, just experienced. The director has very poor communication skills. If your child has any specific needs, don’t expect this daycare to care about your child or be patient with you. They even tried to charge me twice for tuition for our second month. I suggest finding a daycare that is ran by someone who actually cares.

My family loves Windmill Creek Academy! As a first time mom I stayed at home with my daughter for 1 year and I knew daycare wouldn’t be the same as being at home but they have made the transition AMAZING! Any questions I have had they responded quickly, effectively and are just overall awesome! I feel so great knowing my daughter is in such great hands! Madison at the front desk during pick up makes pick up so quick and easy. The owner Janine is sooooo friendly and even teaches music twice a week!!! My daughter is in bears with Ms. Gracin, Ms. Megan, Ms. Ittay. I call maybe one to two times a day and they never rush me off the phone and I know my daughter loves them! Jennifer at drop off in the mornings is so patient and kind and very understanding when my daughter is upset. IF YOU COULDN’T ALREADY TELL I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE AND IM SO GLAD WE FOUND IT FOR MY DAUGHTER!!
