In past year 2024-2025 I have been observing school. The teachers, TA and therapies are amazing! It’s administrators (enrollment advisor who disappears after enrolling your child and doesn’t even bother with you and your child unless you match their race), the principal makes inappropriate comments, and lastly the vice principal just sees your child as “money machine”. They never answer your concerns and worries you may have and I was told “if you have too many questions” they just direct you to principal and doesn’t even bother with you and dismisses you and your child.
I strongly advise against working or sending your child to UCP Charter School. The level of professionalism here is extremely lacking. Classrooms are frequently out of ratio, and there’s little to no support provided, despite what you’d expect from a school setting. The assistant principal is particularly unqualified, holding no relevant certification for her role and contributing nothing to the school's improvement. Employees are undervalued, with no appreciation for the hard work that goes into teaching and managing students. To make matters worse, the pay is abysmal, and there are consistent issues with payroll, which can severely impact your finances. It’s clear this school prioritizes nothing but cutting corners at the expense of staff and students. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere
My daughter went here from the age of 3 to 2nd grade. If you have any doubts just go visit. Wonderful school, awesome teachers and super helpful if your child has any type of issues. We moved and that is the only reason she didn't stay longer.
My daughter loved summer camp here. She woke up every morning looking forward to go. She learned a lot and had fun.
I don‚Äôt agree . At first I did I was impressed with the care they received , but then little things started happing unexplained marks , stomach bugs , pink eye infections etc. not only did this just not run me the right way , the teachers don‚Äôt communicate with parents the way they should . There‚Äôs too much miscommunication between the staff alone . This actually caused them to contact dcf (uncertified teacher might I add) after the nurse even ruled the incident was not abuse. Emphasizing the nurse they trust for everything else said it was not abuse . Her teacher still contacted dcf . Brings me to the miscommunication portion , the incident happened two days prior to which they were informed about and no one communicated that . Which also brings me to the teachers specifically in the pre k classroom that do not communicate with the parents . Even when it comes to natural things like accidents an falls etc. I just would not recommend this place to anyone. Guys they were even feeding the kids expired food . My son had a stomach bug an all because of this . The only positive things I will add to the comment my oldest has a iep long story short he has special abilities üíô His teacher Kimberly is the best educator I have ever seen work with him. The bond they share is something special an I appreciate her to the fullest. Nurse Karol as well . She‚Äôs the mvp there , I spoke to her after I found the expired food (I even emailed the principal regarding this an she never responded) herself and another went to check an clear out the food that the kids were eating . If I‚Äôm being honest , they are the only two I trust there. If it weren‚Äôt for the trust I have in them the kids probably wouldn‚Äôt be there.
The best school to my two little boys. I love all teachers and staff ❤️
I wish there was more recent google reviews of this amazing school. My child LOVES UCP Bailes campus! He is up every morning running to the door with his shoes and when I pick him up he has the biggest smile on his face. I am pretty sure he would live there if he could ha-ha. EVERY-SINGLE staff member from the teacher assistants, school nurse, teachers, counselor, office manager, front desk receptionist and principle are friendly and treat my son as if he is their own! They work together as a team and you can see how organized everyone is! They love these kiddos and it shows how much they truly care. Any issue I have had has been resolved immediately and taken seriously. I can't thank them enough for giving my son a safe and nurturing environment to thrive in! THANK YOU!
