HIGHLY recommended! When we first met Ms. Lulu I knew this was a wonderful place for kids. We dropped in at 2pm with little notice and the kids were all quietly resting. We got the tour and I was immediately impressed with how organized and clean the school was. After 2.5 years, I can tell you that this is the BEST daycare provider we have ever had for any of our children. Our youngest has been lovingly cared for. She adores her teachers! The educational activities they plan each week are amazingly fun and enriching. If you need childcare, you'd be lucky to get a spot here.
We just moved to Gainesville and had our children start at The Child’s Garden this week. Ms Lulu made the enrollment so easy and straightforward, which was much appreciated while navigating a long distance move. After we got here, we realized the location was a bit further from where we ended up living than we realized, especially with rush hour traffic. We unfortunately are having to move our kids to a different facility purely based on the location and drive time for us. However, we have been highly impressed with the organization and support that TCG provides. I love getting reports from the classroom teachers and seeing updates on what my children are doing. I definitely recommend TCG!
My two-year-old had a great time at TCG. Ms. Lulu and all the teachers treated her like family, and she learned a lot there—numbers, colors, shapes, the alphabet, songs, and even some Spanish! Most importantly, the teachers genuinely love the kids.
My kids (now 1.5 and 3.5 years old) have been going here for almost 1.5 years now. They both love it. They have now had almost every teacher there between the two of them, and we all have been very pleased with all of them. I particularly love how much time they spend outside, and how happy the staff seem.
Our family really loves this daycare. I do not frequently do reviews but I really feel compelled to due to the wonderful care provided by the staff. I have sent my children due to two other daycares because we moved between different states, and this is by far THE BEST ONE. The director, Miss Lulu, is very hands-on and attentive. She always has time to talk to the children and parents. The rest of the staff are amazing too. They are so nice and sweet with the children. I feel so comfortable leaving my kids there. In addition, they are always doing crafts, special theme days, and reading time. We were so sad to leave but we will always be in touch with these wonderful people.
My daughter loved it. They teach the children, unlike other places that simply babysit. And the start educational activities like writing, letters, numbers, etc., early. This is a jewel.
I do not recommend this daycare to anyone. I decided not to send my child here based on the expiernece I had with the director, Lulu. I was placed on a waiting list for my son. I was contacted about a week later and advised there was an opening. I took it. Lulu said I would need to stop by the facility to drop a check in the amount of $100 for the "holding fee" to secure his spot. I did so the following week. I meant with another lady, not Lulu, who gave me a brief tour. She asked for the payment for the holding fee. I wrote out the check, which I labeled "registration fee". I was not given any receipt nor any paperwork regarding the facility, terms and conditions, or any policies. I did not sign anything other than the check I dropped off to hold his spot. I also was not verbally told of have policies or procedures and I did not fill out any paperwork about my son. They didn't not even have his date of birth until Lulu text messaged me 2 weeks later for it. About 4 weeks later, I was contacted by another daycare my son was on the waitlist for. I contacted Lulu and told her "I may not send my son to A Child's Garden and asked how I could go back getting a refund for the check I wrote to hold his spot". She said "you will not be getting a refund, the holding fee is non-refundable". I informed her "I was not made aware of that as I was not giving a paperwork of any policies and I did not sign anything". She stated that by me writing and signing the check, that made me aware of their policy. I replied to her and stated "just by me signing a check does not mean I'm aware of a policy that I was not informed of". I did not receive a response to that. I then went by the facility to speak with Lulu, hoping that a face to face discussion may be more appropriate for the situation. I was very wrong. She said I was not getting a refund. I told her again "I was unaware of the policy and was not given anything". She then pointed to a piece of paper that was stuck on a bulletin board BEHIND another paper and said "the policies are listed here". I said "these were not pointed out to me nor did I receive any copy or sign anything that proves i was aware." She repeated i was not receiving any refund and proceeded to shut the door in my face. So basically solely on Lulu and her lack of professionalism and business sense of policies, I refused to send my son to this facility and DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.
