Author: Mary Moss Rating: 5/5 Date: 6/27/2023, 7:31:00 PM Review: I can’t say this enough…AOK is one of the best schools around. My children have been attending AOK for the last 5 years. Below are my pros and cons: Pros: •They use Abeka curriculum, which is based on our Christians beliefs and if you’re like me and don’t know how to introduce God to children that’s a major help in addition to your home interactions. The education part of Abeka curriculum is reason my daughter and son is excelling beyond their counterparts in reading, spelling, and mathematics. All I can say is my 5-year son who had so many issues at the beginning of the school year can read books. •All the teachers have the same goal and golden heart. •The school has many activities to keep the children engaged from spelling bees, stem projects, dance, prom, spirit week, etc... •The school uses ClassDojo to communicate with parents on everything. If you have questions on your child’s behavior and/or classwork you can text the teacher using the ClassDojo app. The teachers post photos of the class/activities on ClassDojo. •School uniforms is mandatory, which takes the guess work out of dressing the children. •During Covid, I felt safe with sending my children to school because they sent the children home if they had symptoms and constantly cleaned to keep everyone safe. I could smell the cleaning products from the door. •The pick-up time is 6 pm for aftercare. Cons: •Everything cost. I constantly tell myself if I want my children to experience life it cost money, including all the activities, spirit weeks, field trips, etc. Nothing is free. It’s the cost of developing my children. •Last minutes updates. •You can only walk your children to the door. That was hard for me when my children were young.

I don't know where to begin, these ladies are & have been absolutely wonderful, not to just my daughter but all of the students are hooked! They are hands on with the students, encouraging them to go the extra mile to excel; class sizes are intimate to ensure that all students get that one on one that's soo needed in schools. All staff members are very personable and caring about students and & parents needs and concerns. I could not have asked or found a better school for my child, I'm looking very forward to enrolling my youngest as well in the upcoming year. My hat goes off to the entire staff and the amazing way they go about educating our future leaders, thank you for all you guys do in the name of education.🏫📚🫂👏🫶#Ms Smalls 🏆🏆 Respectfully grateful parents 👩🏾‍🤝‍👨🏻

I have 2 kids that attend this school and the only complain I have is they don't go up to 5th grade. I love that they promote independence and fosters education through fun. My son is now in the 1st grade and every day comes home saying "it was the best day ever" lol. Ms Lamb was the best and very patient and essay to communicate with. He's doing things that 2nd/3rd Graders are doing like double dogit math and cursive. This was my daughter's first time in any school setting and she started in the 3 yo class and I was a bit nervous because she can be stubborn with things but I've never gotten any bad report and she actually comes home saying she had a great day every day. She can now write her name unassisted, spell and recognize words using letter sounds and even can count to 10 in Spanish For the past 3 years I've never had any complaints for my kids, the school had never fallen short on cleanliness and the staff are very nice and welcoming. You ain't regret your time there.
