We transferred our 9 month old son here after having a negative experience at another daycare nearby…the difference is night and day. The staff in the infant room are so incredible with my son and the other babies…everyone always has a smile on their face and my son seems genuinely happy. They nurture the babies there and give them the most attention at all times. I am so grateful we switched him to this daycare. If you are in the area and looking for a childcare center I HIGHLY recommend Starfish Scholars. I am blown away with all the activities and events they put on for these kids. It’s amazing. I am so glad to have found them! 10/10 recommend! I have 0 complaints!!

We were a little nervous when we switched from the last daycare to here, but are so glad we did! My only regret is we didn't start here sooner. Our son had Ms. Betty as a teacher and she showed love and patience to all of the kids. Everyone at the Trinity location are kind and seem happy and that they enjoy working there. The curriculum matches the needs of the age group and helped our 4 year old thrive. I wish they offered schooling for all ages because we would never leave!

My son never hit or pinch prior to his enrollment at Starfish Scholars. After three miserable weeks, we had to withdraw my son due to he would come home with scratches on his face and arms, as well as he would pinch and hit us. After convincing the Director, Jennifer Boggs, to give us a free trial of the cameras we learned that the teachers are extremely hands off, the classroom toys are not set out, and the children sit in chairs all day. They do not take the children outside. As well as, the teachers do not intervene with children put hands on one another. Starfish scholars claims they have a curriculum, but each time my son came home he had the same academic goal written on his paper for three weeks straight. Also, when my wife would put his food in the cafeteria refrigerator, she noticed the produce expiration date was four weeks past. Additionally, after we withdrew my son, I confirmed our information will be removed. I received confirmation, unfortunately six weeks later, I was charged for a week of tuition when my son hasn’t been there in over a month because he’s at a phenomenal preschool now. All in all, because of their hands off approach, spoiled food for the children’s lunch, and superficial curriculum I would not recommend Starfish Scholars to any family seeking preschool care in the West Pasco area. If I could, I would rate Starfish Scholars zero stars. Don’t let the positive reviews fo you, they have an awfully similar timestamp on each of them 👀

My daughter has been attending starfish scholars for almost 3 years and her father and I couldn’t be happier with them. She has learned so much. The staff and teachers are amazing. Especially her teacher Miss Tamera who works with all her students so well, noticed by first hand experience and how much my daughter loves her!

A little backstory: We moved to starfish just after my son turned 3 because the school/daycare he was previously attending ( close by) told Me my son didn’t string 3 words together. After getting an amazing speech therapist we found out it was actually the teachers in the class he wasn’t talking to. He wasn’t comfortable with them and he needed a bond with the adults around him to feel comfortable enough to talk to them. We were recommended to starfish and more specifically to Mrs Tamara’s class because she was a more experienced teacher. This was the best descion we ever made because my son a year later is thriving in her class and not only talked to her immediately after joining her class, But he walks up to almost every other teacher in the building and knows their names and is happy to say bye or even run up and hug them! This is definitely the kind of environment I want my kiddo in. All the staff is professional and friendly and they make my kid feel comfortable to be himself.

My children have been going to Starfish Scholars since they were a year old. The school is very clean and organized. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. They are the only school in the area that offers camera access to parents for the ability to log in and view their child while they are in the classroom, providing peace of mind to parents. Additionally, Miss Tamara is amazing. Both of my children have had her as a teacher. She’s very hands on and takes the time to understand every student’s individual needs and challenges. She also has the patience needed to insure the students excel and learn to the best of their ability. Also, the VPK teachers Miss Betty and Miss Laura, are amazing. They are also very hands on and go the extra mile to make sure their student are cared for taught at their individual levels. I recommend Starfish Scholars to anyone looking for a preschool/childcare facility.
