My Son has been going to this school since the age of 1. He is almost 3 now. He loves his teachers and he loves his friends. This school makes everyone feel welcome. They celebrate the holidays and they celebrate the families that make this school not only great for learning but wonderful for the community! Thank you St. Pete. Prep!!!!!

I initially just deleted my previous 5 star review because after 3 years of loving this school - the experience changed due to new ownership. I had to pull my daughter from the school as I was no longer comfortable with her quality of care. However, seeing the school's response to another respected mother's review - I feel the need to write my own. When this school says that they are open to communication - please let me share my communication experience. I professionally scheduled a meeting (during my work day) with the owner to discuss my concerns and when I asked about the food issues (that I heard from my child as well), her exact words to me were "I am so sick of discussing this". She said this to me with her husband (co-owner), a respected teacher, and 2 other moms in the room. As a parent - that response is appalling. I pulled my child from the school two days later and it was the best decision I made. I would absolutely not recommend this school.

We used to love this place. When we started there over 3 years ago, it was such a warm and loving place that our son enjoyed going to. Unfortunately there has been drastic changes with the new owner causing us to withdrawal due to overall wellbeing concerns. We noticed that our son was always starving when we picked him up. We asked him what he ate for lunch and snack, usually he would tell us all the yummy thing and even new things he tried. However under the new owner ship he would get shy in telling me and admitted some days he would eat nothing because all they had was rice. At 4 years old he started to regress with his potty training ONLY at this place. When I spoke to my pediatrician about it they confirmed that At his age he shouldn’t be regressing in bathroom behavior. And that Psychological/social issues are the number one reason for him to have an accident at that age. When I asked my son what was happening he told me new people wouldn’t let him go potty when he asked, so he was having accidents. We wrote out a long letter to the new owner asking for some clarification on what was going on at this daycare and voiced our concerns and changes in between noticed. She was rude and dismissive to us and our concerns. She told us to put our 4 year old in pull ups and didn’t understand why we cared so much about the food at school. She made it clear that our concerns and our son’s wellbeing was just an inconvenience for her. I also caught her in two lies which completely eroded any illusion of integrity she had with me.

Dear Parents, It is with a heavy heart that Ms. Sheila and myself must say goodbye to all of you. Due to the new owner ship and other recent changes at St. Pete Prep we find that it is no longer the right environment for us to continue our journey there. While we have always believed in the importance of fostering a positive, nurturing space for children to grow, we feel that the recent shifts have made it difficult for us to uphold the standards we hold dear for both our children and ourselves. We want everyone to know that we would never, ever just up and leave your child and this decision wasn’t easy, but we truly believe it is what’s best for our well-beings. We have deeply enjoyed working with each of your children, and will forever cherish the memories we’ve made together. They are incredibly special, and we hope they will continue to flourish. We want to thank you for your trust, your kindness, and your support over the time we’ve spent together. While we are so sad to be leaving, we remain hopeful that better opportunities for your children and the school will come in the future. Please know that our time with your child will always remain a treasured part of our journey as educators, it was truly a pleasure to have each and every one of these children in our lives. We wish you and your family nothing but the best. Sincerely, Ms. Sheila & Ms. Bri *About a week ago this was brought to our attention, this was unknown to us and unfortunately our hands were tied.

Management here is terrible, lack of accountability from the director and employees.

I cannot express how thankful I am for St Pete Prep Learning Center. They have been such a blessing in my family's life. My two children attend, one in VPK and the other in the 1's. My son who is in VPK has NEVER liked school and he absolutely loves it here. He is happy to be at school daily and LOVES his teachers. I feel at peace knowing they are in such good hands there with such loving individuals. Thank you to all the lovely people who work there and are taking care of my babies!

I have had two children go to school at St. Pete learning center. They are so kind and even though there was a big age gap in between kids they remembered us and our family when welcoming my son into their programs. They are kind, patient, communicative with us and our child while he attends school. Couldn’t ask for a better staff there, they really do treat our families like family.

We've been with St. Pete Prep for 4 years so far. This is not a place I send my kids during the day so I can work, this is a place where they are learning to become people. They are loved an nurtured and I truly feel like the staff is an extension of my village, playing a vital role in helping to raise my kids. I am constantly amazed at the things they are learning, and appreciate how they are encouraged to stay curious about the world around them. I have recommend St. Pete Prep to multiple places and am dreading the day that we are no longer a part of this amazing school.
