My daughter attended St Martha's from 5 to 8 grade. She was bullied by the girls in her grade. The adminstration did not take action and suggested that we move her out of the school because it may not be a good fit for her. Also, the school counselor Mrs Peter's is unfit to work with kids. In addition, the academics are horrendous. The math teacher, Mr Litman, was the worst math teacher. He taught the kids that were advanced in math, which included my daughter. He was extremely sexist toward girls and didn't like when they asked questions. He allowed name calling amongst the students. He also, told us that our daughter would never make it in the IB program at Riverview because she wasn't IB material. Ummm...go figure she's graduating from the IB program with only one B and with high honors. Everyone pretends to be Catholic but truly have no moral or ethical values. Don't waste your money.
The school administration and staff have worked tirelessly over the past 2-3 weeks to change how our school curriculum is delivered. The circumstances that we are all facing are challenging. Yet every effort has been made, and made very well to help our kids start learning from home. Thanks for all that you have done and will continue to do!!!! We are thankful for the teachers and staff of SMCS.
We love this school! Incredible staff and students! You really feel like family. Have proudly sent all 3 of my children to St Marthas for many years.
Our son graduated and is now a freshman in a local high school. St Martha Catholic School did a great job preparing him for the challenges ahead. Parents who are willing to take an active role in their child’s education will find great teachers and staff at the school.
Two children, ten years and counting and I still count this school among the blessings in my life!
The school environment is one which fosters the very best in developing character in its students. Under the leadership of Mrs. Young, the staff seems to really care about the needs of all enrolled.
domes overrated weak shape weak school
I'm a parent. St. Martha's is a wonderful little school. Everyone from the teachers to the administration try very hard. The culture of the school is excellent and it is rare that you don't see a smile on everyone's face. I have a daughter that attends fourth grade and she likes the school very much. My son also had a good experience there for the couple years he attended. I endorse the school 100%.
