I have a 3 year old who has been in the center from a few weeks old & they have always taken care of her as if she was family, I’ve never had an issue. I now have an infant who is also attending & they both enjoy being there on a daily basis. There’s a lot of love & learning in this center & they will not disappoint. I appreciate them all so much for the awesome care they provide ----- Author: Heather Quilal-lan Rating: 5/5 Date: 1/25/2023, 10:47:18 PM Review: We love Southpoint!!!! My two eldest girls attended this school from 3mo to 4yrs, and now my baby (3mo) is enjoying the infant room. Making a childcare choice for my kiddos was one of the most difficult decisions I’ve made in my life, but this school was the perfect fit. My eldest children are excelling in elementary school; their educational foundation came from Southpoint. The facility is an older ranch style home (with the cutest built-ins for cubbies) transformed into bright and happy classrooms. The owner has been in this business for a long time and the teachers are tenured. They know my kiddos by name and love them like their own. Another plus - they serve a hot lunch!! I never had to worry about the climate control limitations of packed lunches when my kids started eating solids. Everyday after work, I experience a blessing: The sweetest little loving kitties (Sassy and Gabby) sit as a welcoming committee for me when I go to pick up my babe. Everyone leaving is all smiles after a full day of play. ----- Author: Lynsey Hilton Rating: 1/5 Date: 6/22/2022, 2:16:13 PM Review: Don’t take your children here! ESPECIALLY INFANTS!! Where do I begin… I enrolled my son when he was five months old & Took him out three months later. As a first time mom I wasn’t happy about the fact that they don’t have any way to communicate with you throughout the day as most day cares do now. As I started dropping him off and picking him up I noticed cats around the daycare, feral cats. They feed the cats, pet them, and I would see one of the cats being let inside (and the same cat had a litter of kittens on their property)! My son came home a few times with bites on him and I know they were flea bites! When I would go back to the infant room, (which was rare because they don’t let you go back since covid) it was always dark and very smelly. They don’t do any activities with the infants like taking them outside, stroller walks, sensory/motor skills activities, anything! They just feed them, put them in a swing, or put them in the crib. When I picked him up I would try to ask questions but they would always rush me saying they had to get back to the babies in their room & they don’t speak good English. Lastly, I am American and primary language is English. Most, if not all, of the employees are Spanish and are constantly speaking Spanish to one another and the kids all day. A few times I would ask them questions about my sons day and they wouldn’t understand me. So, it was very hard to communicate with them. While I think it is a great second language it is not our first! This is just confusing to kids whose primary language is English & are just starting to learn their primary language.
Is this an in-home day care?

They love and take care of all the kids as if they’re their own! Trust me, is such a safe, loving place ( second home) for your kids! ----- Author: Vanessa Barrera Rating: 5/5 Date: 2/3/2023, 3:04:34 PM Review: In 2021, being new to the Jacksonville area, I started searching for a daycare for my one-year-old son and my two-year-old daughter. I interviewed approximately 30 child care programs and knew my search was over when I found Southpoint Early Learning Center. Their motto, “A Home Away From Home,” is a true motto. The owner of Southpoint takes care of every detail. The manager, Andrea, is a cordial and helpful professional with an excellent attitude who is always willing to be of help. My son, now three years old, has grown and matured into an amazing and intelligent young boy. I had the pleasure of meeting Maryela, his teacher, who takes care of all of her students as if they were her own children. Maryela’s teaching plan meets the stringent requirements, and her techniques are incredible. My daughter left Southpoint six months ago to begin kindergarten. She insists that she wants to return to her VPK teacher, Rebecca, who took great care of her and taught her countless new things for which I will always be grateful. I cannot recommend Southpoint Early Learning Center enough. The setting is lovely with a large outdoor playground, and brilliant equipment inside and out. The staff have so much heart and they care so deeply about the students. It has always been wonderful seeing our children get excited about going to Southpoint. The teachers really engage with the kids and help them develop in an individualized way. The management is totally committed to providing a safe, fun and loving environment, and we are very thankful. I wish i could give you 10 stars ***** ----- Author: Vianney Martinez Rating: 5/5 Date: 2/2/2023, 6:11:28 PM Review: This Child Care center is truly home away from home. I wish I could give more stars üåü the teachers are fantastic and there effective this school has had on my baby is phenomenal!
My prayers were answered when I found Southpoint with our oldest we struggled with finding the best daycare that suited us. Southpoint has now helped me raise and mold 2 of my children and now my newest addition attends southpoint. I would recommend them to any momma who is in desperate need of finding a daycare who loves your kids just as much as you do.
I absolutely LOVE this Learning Center, the staff is wonderful. They are very quick to respond to messages on the portal and help with any issues you might be having. My granddaughter just loves coming here and has learned so much in the past year, I am so happy to have found a place that takes great care of my granddaughter and she loves her teacher. :-)
We sent our 2 boys here the past couple years and have had a very good experience. The teachers communicated well and were so sweet to our children, and our kids had nothing but good things to say about their respective teachers. The staff really care about our kids — we were happy with the care and education our boys received. Would happily recommend this school
I don’t know if I actually ever ended up leaving a review, but this place has made me have distrust in leaving my child with anyone but myself since we had our son go here for a week. We decided a week into it that we would pull him out. He is autistic, and at the time he was only two years old. Every time I would go to pick him up, He would have the same exact juice in his cup, completely full that I sent him in with. And that happened every single day I would hand it to him, and he would chug it when I picked him up. They would also notate the diaper changes, and from what I saw, they would only change him about once a day. There’s not a lot of urination when a child is dehydrated. Every time I would go pick him up, he’d be crying. This place just made me so uncomfortable and I do not recommend anyone use Southpoint early learning center. They don’t care about the children.
I can’t express enough gratitude for having this school in my little one’s life! The love that they show all the kids is unbelievable. Teachers know all the kids and work together to make sure kids are safe, learning, and cared for as if they were their own. Thank you so much to all of the staff! Truly a blessing
We loved Southpoint! My daughter went there when she was 4 months old and we absolutely loved her classroom! Her room teachers Ms. Liza and Ms. Marlene were so kind and loving, it made all the difference when transitioning back to work! We unfortunately had to leave them as we reloated however we had nothing but great things to say about the staff. All of the teachers end up knowing your child and everyone is so nice and helpful. Big shout out to Ms. Karen as well, she loved my daughter and my daughter loved her back. This place gave us peace of mind and was priced amazingly. Thank you Southpoint!

We are so grateful for the genuine care that we received at Southpoint Early Learning Center. This was our daughters first school and I never felt anxious about leaving her. The staff has always been helpful and understanding. I also appreciate that my daughter now has experience with multiple languages, thanks to bilingual staff. Thank you Southpoint.
