Absolutely an amazing preschool. Amazing staff and absolutely an amazing director.
When choosing a pre-school for our little one, there was no doubt that SmartyPants (our location was west Bradenton) was the very best choice. Mrs Christina, director, is just amazing. She is so loving towards all kids and parents, very knowledgeable, and should there be a problem, she solves it in the very best manner! She has an amazing staff, they really take well care of our kids, with love and direction to grow and learn. This is a small pre-school, another plus, It’s surrounded by tall fences, where no one can peak in on our kids, very safe. The biggest regret is that we couldn’t stay longer, now onto school. Don’t hesitate to check out SmartyPants!
My son Christopher started Smarty Pants at 4 months old. He is now in kindergarten and I find myself wishing that he was still getting the attention and education he was receiving at Smarty Pants. I became accustomed to the thorough daily reports on Christopher's activities throughout the day. What he was learning, his behavior(good and sometimes naughty), whether he ate, etc I joke sometimes that they prepared him to well for school because now he is bored. The most important thing of all is they have always treated my son and my entire family like we were part of their extended family. Truly built lifelong friendships. The only preschool in town!!! I love smarty Pants
I have been wanting to review this business for quite a while now but honestly had trouble putting my feelings into words without going on for days. My daughter started attending the 43rd St location just before her first birthday. I had hoped to be able to stay home with her but our small family business had picked up quickly and I was needed in the field. One of my friends had recommended Smarty Pants to me so I popped in to meet the director, Christine, and she offered me a tour on the spot. I loved what I saw- the interaction between staff and the kids, I loved that they had an app and cameras so I would be updated all day and able to peek at my baby whenever I wanted, the facility was clean and overall I felt a sense of comfort there. My baby started almost immediately and I remember sitting in the car after handing her over and I cried. It was the first time I’d be away from my baby all day and so I was a wreck but I was also crying because I felt she was welcomed so warmly and the comfort that staff showed me at “drop-off” was genuine. Each day it got easier for me to leave Sadie and it was obvious fairly quickly that she really enjoyed being there. I never felt like I was a bother when I asked questions or if I had any concerns and everything I said was taken seriously. I never had to question much because Christine runs a tight ship, she has a great program there, she’s very hands on and knows how to have fun with the kids but takes her job very seriously. I like that Smarty Pants is a family business and over time we felt like family. I got to know the girls that were caring for my baby and that’s important, we weren’t strangers. Luckily we have since hired help and Sadie is now home with me again, but I cried on her last day because I felt bad taking her from people she had grown to love and I felt bad taking her from them because I knew that they’d grown to love her too. I would send her back in a heartbeat if needed, she will definitely be returning for pre-k and I recommend this location to anyone in the area looking for childcare.
Watch Fox13 News about the abuse happening at this day care before you decide to enroll your child.
My son has been going here since he was two months old. It was the easiest decision when choosing Smarty Pants as my son's daycare. The teachers are absolutely wonderful and you get notifications on the daycare app through the day about what your kid is doing.
Just saw a Fox News of a worker abusing a 2 year old in this daycare and the poor parents didn’t get an apology from the owners. Beware. Not sure if the owners are monitoring their daycare if this has been going on for awhile.
We interviewed several daycare facilities before deciding on Smarty Pants. Our daughter has been going here since she was 7 months old and is now 2 and half. We've never had an issue with Smarty Pants or it's employees.
