The school is a combination of aged women and old school philosophies on Christian principles that don't reflect love, growth and acceptance for everyone. The adaptation of old school education is beautiful until the outdated policies single out children, interrupted learning, and promotes negative self feelings or images of themselves. This school picked on my five year old daughter for days for getting her nails polished. She came to school happy to show her new teacher (Mrs. Madison)her pretty nails and her teacher turned that moment into turmoil. Instead of embracing, building my daughter up and being a positive reinforcer of what she felt was pretty. Her teacher ridiculed her in front of the class and had her classmates picking and laughing at her. My daughter was told she did something wrong and was in trouble for having her nails polished. My daughter felt guilty for being an innocent child who liked her nails polished. The next day of school they were so extreme to meet my daughter at the door when she was being dropped off with nail polish remover and cotton. This indeed was another embarrassing moment for my daughter. They attempted to bully her dad into taking off the polish prior to entering the school. These events were traumatic and made my daughter cry at home for getting her nails polish. We were threatened repeatedly by staff that our daughter would not be able to come to school if she did not have the polished removed. I asked the Director Mrs. Campbell, Mrs. Natalie and Mrs. Madison if they would kick a child out of school for nail polish and they answer yes it is our school policy in different conversations. Horrible school, horrible, horrible experience. A school that cared more about an old ridiculous policy that should have never been in place over how my daughter would respond to their aggressive actions. A school that I pay money (no I do not get assistance) to teach my child about the goodness of God and to educate her. They dropped the ball and cared more about the color of her nails ( which were pink) versus her emotional stability, social development, acceptance of self and educating her. This school isn't a reflection of God's teachings to accept, love and be kind to each other. This school and the teacher's lacked understanding of normal child developmental stages that children go through. Please do not send your child to this school. Their beliefs are out dated and definitely not Christ like. I recommend all the teachers at this school be educated on child development and stages of development before asserting themselves in Childrens life. Age 2 to grade 3are the most influential years of a child's life. Shame on this school.
