Why have me come to this preschool just to tell me “oh we have no space” I would have rather stayed home. Than to feel like I was judge for my skin tone or that I didn’t fit the look for this school. This really really screams discrimination to me I definitely do not appreciate the waste of time and judgment this “Christian” preschool imposed on me. Because my child’s last name is Cruz you were all for it until we arrive and notice our skin was too dark and Spanish is not our first language there’s no space.

I do not recommend this facility. My two children, 5 and 2, attended this center for about 3 months and during this time we experienced lack of communication with the teachers and staff. Parents are not permitted to go back to the classrooms to drop off or pick up children so I very rarely got the chance to talk to their teachers. The management wants the teachers to use the app to communicate with parents but in my experience it was hardly used. And when it was, it was just a photo without a caption or description. We did notice there are paper reports they used that informed parents of daily activities like meals, diaper changes, and naps however they only used that form if they needed to communicate needing wipes or diapers. When we asked for that form daily they said the app should be used but then didn’t use the app. Other more serious concerns came up with the lack of staff awareness on simple topics such as transportation and my children were used as Guinea pigs to find holes in their operation which is not how a childcare facility should be run. I think the management is trying to fix things but if I was you I would steer clear at least for another year or two. It is very disappointing the lack of good childcare facilities in Lake County.
Definitely check this center out. The staff is pretty amazing. They will certainly work with your family with those grumpy litte ones. They are so positive. My toddler adores Ms. Lupe. The food menu is nice. They host lovely events during special occasions/holidays. I highly recommend Sherwood ♥️
My son loves going to school everyday. We are very happy that he enjoys going to school. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

After 10 years of my grandkids going to kiddie Castle they changed hand and now is Sherwood daycare I loved kitty castle it is changed so much we all as parents and grandparents missed the original people who started kitty castle miss Doreen Miss Mary Miss Sherry Miss Jackie and the rest of the crew who taught all of my grandkids and countless other children for years we miss you all the place is not the same
After being at two horrible daycares, kiddie castle is a breath of fresh air, they’re very routine oriented and a very clean facility. My girls love to tell me about the projects that they make and they actually teach the kids not just babysit them. Would recommend this facility to anyone !
I only gave it 1 star because there was not an option for zero stars. The facility is ran by a woman who is there for “business” not the kids. If you’re NOT attending their VPK program, your child WILL be kicked out of daycare. Forget the fact that at their age they are just learning how to socialize and make friends. Her business strategy works great for the money but your child will not be stable there.
My daughters began to attend in June of 2018 & must I say I have never seen my children come home so happy! From Mrs Doreen who made us all feel welcomed to the teachers! My babies love it there! The attention they receive, the knowledge they’ve obtained, I am more than grateful to have found this center . Thank you for all you do!
