The good: The establishment is beautiful with nice decorations and pleasant music. Both the inside and outside areas are clean and well-maintained. The uniforms for kids ages 2 and up are nice. The teachers are very kind, and most care deeply for the children. Even the front desk staff knows your child by name. Amanda up front is especially nice and approachable. As for safety, they have codes to go through the doors. Once inside the lobby, they use fingerprint scanning for check-in and check-out, which is wonderful. They also have very nice activities throughout the year, especially for Christmas. The areas we feel need work: Some activities only allow one parent to participate. They say it's to allow other children to be with their families or maybe it's a space issue. However, it is disappointing that we have to choose between mom or dad attending, instead of having an activity we can enjoy as a family. If your child has a blowout, expect a very messy bag with their clothes. They don't even try to clean them a little. This has happened four times while we've been there. We've picked up our child on several occasions, and they’ve had boogers or food on their face and clothes, and the teachers don't clean them or change their clothes. My child has been hurt in class, which I understand happens in a classroom full of children. However, they don't always keep an eye on the kids, and cameras don’t always capture everything. It's concerning when your child gets hurt, and they can't even tell you what happened (no major injuries, just scratches and bites). They have a very long waitlist, which is likely because they are better than many other daycares. It is a good daycare, and when we were deciding on which daycare to choose for our child, this one stood out for many reasons. However, I will add that this was also the most expensive daycare of the ones we visited and considered. Because of this, we had higher expectations. It’s a good school, but there are definitely areas for improvement. One thing that bothers me the most is picking up my child and finding that they are cover in snout and/or their shirt is completely soaked, either from water or something else, and they aren't changed even though they have extra clothes in their room. My child's clothes has been so soaked that when I pinched them, you could literally squeeze water out. I don't know why the teachers didn’t change the clothes. I know the teachers care, and some of the issues may be due to a change of teachers in the afternoon, and they may not be aware. The daycare/school does follow the state-mandated teacher-to-student ratio, but I know that’s still a lot of kids per teacher, and because of that, some things get missed unfortunately. ----- Author: Samantha Osterhout Rating: 5/5 Date: 1/3/2025, 1:25:52 PM Review: Great school and kind teachers, but their cameras erase after 24 hours .So if your kid had a rough day at school you can’t even see what happened if you request the cameras the following morning.

I cannot say enough about Pineapple Cove, they are simply amazing!! From my very first visit here I felt so welcomed and I watched how the teachers interact with their students and knew right away this was the only place I would want my daughter attending preschool. We have now been with Pineapple for almost 2 years and every classroom we have been in has been unique and designed to engage the children with age appropriate activities and toys. The teachers there go above and beyond for these students and you can tell that they truly do love these kids. I get daily updates on my daughters activities, her eating and sleeping routines and the days schedule. My daughter has just flourished since we started here. She has learned SO much while attending Pineapple it amazes me. I look forward to continuing her education with Pineapple and strongly recommend them to anyone looking for the absolute best care for their child. UPDATE - Years after posting this I can say that I absolutely feel the same way about this school! We will be starting Kindergarten with Pineapple Cove this year!

This is not a bad school but there were some experiences that negatively impacted the journey with them. The experience that stood out most was Ms. Jess, the director, declaring a developmental issue with my child and stating that it's not something people tend to grow out of. She was refering to working in groups. I didn't react to her statement and got my child evaluated and there is absolutely nothing wrong. Another negative was that it always seemed like the teachers were holding back with what they were able to share. Thirdly, the class my child was in had only 1 teacher for roughly half the time in that group. That teacher was understandably tired/overworked with 22 children. There are some administrators and staff who seem open to allowing children to express themselves while steering them in the right direction but there seems to be an overall sentiment that small children (below 3) should be able to comply at the level of VPK. They noted issues with my child that we did not face prior to them nor have we faced those issues post this school. My child became clingy and in tears at drop off time and was always eager to leave in the afternoons and that is also no longer the case at a different establishment.

This facility standards for children are way to high. If your child doesn't "fit in" with what they accept they will kick your child out. They required me to find a full time aide for my son in exactly 1 week! As if that is even possible instead of giving me notice way ahead of time! Like what is the point of your existence as a daycare if you are unwilling to go above and beyond to get these children the care that they need? 2 Teachers in a class of 20 plus 2 year olds is insane! There needs to be at least three teachers per class. But ofc you all won't do this because you're too cheap to hire the help that is needed in your daycare..Instead you micromanage your teachers AND children resulting in teachers constantly quitting due to being overwhelmed and made to feel un appreciated. You would think for the price required for enrollment they would hire more teachers to support the amount of children that go here. Do better! And stop trying to be this perfect daycare and allow children the opportunity to be there with the proper care and a sufficient amount of teachers! There is absolutely no reason why my son should have been removed he is two years old! Imagine how frustrated YOU would feel If you couldn’t talk smh. Everyday was Not a terrible two day and also Instead of sitting in the office staring at the camera micromanaging all day Jess, maybe you need to learn how to allow the teachers room and TRUST them to do the jobs that they are hired for by letting them decide what actions/recommendations are needed for the children they are caring for daily since they are the ones dealing with the child every day and up close not you.

This is the worst establishment to take your child for childcare. My daughter had her first day on 1/17/2023, and when I picked her up from the school, she was dirty, poop in her diapers, and she smelled horrible. There was dirt on her face that was smeared on. The classroom I walked through to get to the playground smelled like a dog that had not been bathed in 5 weeks. She had bruising and swelling on both sides of her temple and scratches on her neck. Did the school information of what happened? NO, I had to call about what I saw on my child, then they nonchalantly acted as if it was nothing big. Worst place ever. Do not send your babies there. Zero stars rating!!!!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Pineapple family! We look forward to continuing our journey in the future with them and being a part of the Pineapple family again! The staff throughout the entire school was very helpful and always friendly! The communication was excellent, whether in person or via social media. It was enjoyable to hear and see all of the different things my daughter learned every day at school. Thank you Pineapple Cove Academy!
