Author: Carriette Elusma Rating: 5/5 Date: 9/25/2024, 6:52:26 PM Review: My son started at 19 months and I credit this school for his discipline when it comes to sitting still and taking naps as scheduled. But it wasn't the right environment for him and we had to make the tough decision to remove him. My daughter started at 15 months and has ABSOLUTELY thrived in the Montessori environment. She is so excited to go to school everyday and loves the teachers. There is good communication between the administration and parents about the child's progress. The facility maintains a clean and safe environment. I would recommend for prospective parents, but keep in mind that your child has to be the right fit for the environment to progress and do well. ----- Author: Khadijah C Rating: 1/5 Date: 8/17/2023, 3:43:44 PM Review: If I could rate this a zero I would and I do not say this lightly. I called about being interested in touring the school because the website seemed promising. They told me I would need to come back 3 separate times for the tour, the “observation” and then the enrollment. That seemed odd but I acquiesced. The tour went great everyone seemed fine. I told the representative that my daughter who is 2 is non verbal and came from a Montessori school so I was excited to find another one with a better commute. We came back a different day for the observation and my daughter didn’t want to walk in alone. Every school she has ever been in has been fine taking her from my arms because she has a hard time at drop off. When I asked for the same or in the alternative to walk her in because she was scared they said no and that they do not carry children in Montessori schools which I know is completely false. Then they said I just needed to tell her it was safe and I reminded them she was non verbal. The director came out and informed me that the kids there by 1 are talking and if my daughter is non verbal that she needs “one on one” care and is not a good fit for their school. She even asked why she left her old school implying she was kicked out or something. I have never felt so disrespected for myself and my baby who simply had a big reaction to going somewhere with strangers. There was no empathy there was no kindness or compassion. Do not bring your child here and if they have any kind of delay the PLEASE DON’T BRING YOUR CHILD HERE. All children deserve to feel like they belong. ----- Author: Marcline L Rating: 5/5 Date: 12/21/2021, 8:01:49 PM Review: We are indeed happy that we made the decision to enroll our son at a Montessori Ivy League School. Being a first-time mom and very protective of my son; I went to several schools to tour their facilities. After touring The Montessori Ivy League School, I felt at peace and decided to enroll my son immediately. It was not easy leaving my son for the first time in a new environment without family and friends. I felt better quickly, when I met pleasant, warm, and friendly teachers who reassured me that he will be ok. My son cried at first and did not want to be separated, but after a few months he was running in the school and telling me bye. I see significant progress in my son. He is thriving tremendously in a nurturing environment. As the school motto says students are given opportunity to, “they create, laugh, play, and grow” which is accurate with my son. He has learned a lot in such a short time at school. The things I like most about the school is the cleanness of the environment and the care and love the teachers show towards all the children, and the family setting and atmosphere. This gives me peace of mind that my child is safe and protected. It is also a plus that mornings parents are greeted by teachers and administrative staff; which is very welcoming. I am very happy with my son’s academic and social and emotional progress. He is now identifying colors, numbers, shapes and different objects. I am impressed by his growing independence and ability to ask for help when he needs it. I am blessed to have my son with a family home away from home. ----- Author: Emily Medaglia Rating: 5/5 Date: 5/25/2021, 11:55:27 PM Review: Our son attended Montessori Ivy League for 2 years. We moved north and needed to find a new school and that was honestly the hardest part for us. Montessori Ivy League is a family. They are in a protected and enclosed corner of a nice strip mall that is quiet. The playground is full enclosed and covered. The teachers come from all different backgrounds and cultures and ensure that every student feels included. The other students were friends with our son and even after a month of us moving, he still talks about them and wonders how they are. This school is safe, loving and enriching. He quickly learned his ABC's, 123's and by the time he left he was grabbing a normal pencil and beginning to make clear shapes and color appropriately. Montessori Ivy League showed our son that learning IS fun! He would come home and want to play with his toys and talk about his day. During COVID, he attended their virtual classes until June and then stayed home with us where we continued to teach him the Montessori-style as much as possible. He went back to school in January 2021; during all this, Montessori Ivy League was still running and functioning as normal. They are clean and have always taken great measurements to ensure the students are healthy! Michelangelo never contracted COVID here, nor did any of the other students or teachers. What an accomplishment! We highly recommend Montessori Ivy League to every parent that is looking for a school that is sheltered, cozy, loving and safe. And to put the cherry on top, they don't allow sweets or sugar into the school so I felt great knowing he wouldn't be fed junky foods for snacks! Thank you so much Montessori Ivy League, we miss you!

I have been supporting students at Montessori Ivy League Academy as a Speech-Language therapist for the past 1.5 years. I am grateful for the support, collaboration and the commitment by all educators to support differentiated instruction for their students. Their commitment in giving a child a well-rounded, evidence-based education with access to rich tools and vibrant learning is to be commended.
This is a very well managed school and very true to the principals of Montessori teaching !! Children learn and excel at their own pace !!
I am a grandma. I live in SoCal, so I hardly see my granddaughter but when I come to visit I see a tremendous improvements in terms of following instructions and interaction with others. She also learned new words in Spanish and English. I can tell that my granddaughter love going to school by just seeing her eagerness to go to get ready. The MILA must have a great learning system and the same time make the place an enjoyable experience for our kiddos. I will highly recommend MILA and give it 10/10. Thank you to all the teachers and caregivers for all you do. üëçüëçüëçüëçüëèüëèüëè. Job well done üëèüëèüëè
Looking for an amazing school? Look no further than! Our 4 and 2 year old have thrived at this school. The staff communication, kindness, and environment is valued here. Your littles will be learning and under the best care.
Even for a toddler, our daughter didnt follow directions well but within about a month, she was putting toys back and cleaning up after herself. We watched in the lobby camera as she got in line to walk from one room to the next, went to her spot in circle time, and sat/participated as needed. Its not just her, the other kids behave the same ans that tells you it's not just her or an accident. The school had an effective system that works. She comes home repeating alphabet songs english and spanish. During visits she takes us around to different stations. MILA does a fantastic job of giving latitude to the kids interests while providing boundaries and structure. 10/10 would recommend.
We are grateful to have found this phenomenal school! üôèüèº Our daughter loves it here, and we have seen tremendous improvement since she attended this school in October. Our daughter is a sweetheart but stubborn; we could barely get her to listen to us or follow directions. However, thanks to her teacher's amazing work, she now stays in line, sits down, and eats meals with other kids. She even allows teachers to hold her hands to draw and do projects. Her vocabulary has improved greatly. The students are so sweet and caring; we often see the older kids helping the little ones, which makes our hearts happy and reassures us that our baby is in good hands. We are glad we ignored the negative reviews and came to check it out on our own. Other parents spoke highly of the school during our first tour, which was the authentic review we have seen. The staff is amazing; our daughter's head teacher is Miss Rubina and her awesome team. Everyone we have interacted with has been friendly and professional, and the director is kind and professional; it's obvious she cares about the teachers, students, and families. Even better, the parents are nice and friendly during the drop off and pick up. We highly recommend this school. If you have doubts about the school based on some negative reviews, ignore them, check it out on your own, and you won't be disappointed. üòä
My two daughters study in this amazing Montessori and they have been very happy since they started. It isn‚Äôt easy to trust someone with your little ones, but this place has very well prepared and loving teachers and while it isn‚Äôt easy to deal with many kids, these teachers are all so kind to the kids. They have small groups with 2 or 3 teachers pero group which allows kids to have full attention on them. The Montessori education is very interesting because they teach my kids to clean their shoes, cut bananas, wash dishes and all those tasks that they need to learn for an everyday life, and they also learn numbers and colors very fast‚Ķ they all love Fridays because they‚Äôre very fun too! The discipline is something very valuable these days. They teach them values and to follow rules. This is so much more important than any maths kids can learn. An important fact to me, is they‚Äôre very respectful with the various sorts of faith or religious practices we all may have, also they respect My daughters‚Äô special diet, among others. God bless all the teachers who teach with love and respect ü©∑

My wife and I are very happy to have our daughter in this school. We are very proud of her progress. We moved from our country just a year and a half ago, and we have noticed how our daughter (4 years old) has already mastered the language, math, reading and other skills. Most importantly, she is happy to go to school and comes home sharing her classroom experiences. The staff is always kind to us and willing to clarify any questions. I highly recommend this school.
If you want to give your child the best experience in the Montessori system, which is very useful for kids nowadays you should come to Montessori. Only the good manners, intelligence, and clarity you can expect from this school. The school is equal for everyone, and my friends are happy too.
