My 3 year old son absolutely loves going into "school" every day to play and learn with his friends. His previous daycare he used to be resistant when being dropped off, now he barely wants to say bye. From day one. When I went in for a tour, I knew this is where I wanted my children to go. The environment was very welcoming, clean, and decorated with all the children's artwork. I can't wait for my infant to start going when there is an opening! ----- Author: rachel morgan Rating: 5/5 Date: 5/21/2021, 12:21:16 PM Review: My oldest has gone here since the day they opened in the 2 year old class. My youngest started at 3 months old. I was so nervous to put an infant into daycare but they made me feel so comfortable. My husband would stop in unannounced the first few weeks and our infant was always happy, sleeping, or being rocked with a bottle. The ELC staff is truly like family to us. I couldn't recommend this daycare enough.

This place used to be fantastic. My wife and I have had one or more children there since 2020, and had I dropped this review prior to about a year ago, it would have been a 5-star review. There has been a lot of change there in the last year or so. They’ve changed directors, and in my opinion, it was not a change for the better. There has been a large amount of staff turnover there as well (which, I realize, is pretty normal for a daycare…but I feel like the turnover at MV has been excessive). We pulled our son from MV in November because their services had become unreliable. MV was enforcing illness policies arbitrarily and inconsistently, which resulted in my son being sent home from daycare multiple times in a span of about 3 weeks (only one of those times was he actually sick…the other two times were because he had a SINGLE loose BM which is extremely normal for an 18 month old). Despite him not actually being ill those two times, they still refused to let him return to the center, and when we offered to provide a doctor’s note saying that he was fine to attend, they still refused to let him return. When we raised our concerns, they were very dismissive and made it very clear that they didn’t care whether we stayed or left…so we left.

They only take the same children that have previously be enrolled? No new children. How they make a living I have no idea. No help for parents looking for a daycare for just the summer.

The best daycare in Pensacola! If your child is sick, they should stay home, yes it is frustrating as a working parent, however, it is the staff's duty to ensure everyone's children are protected, as any parent would want. The reviews stating their child was expelled from school, that is typical policy of a daycare, and there is only so much the staff can do at the daycare level, (I've worked in daycares as well) the rest must be controlled at home. I have a 5 year old and 2 year old that have been attending this daycare since we moved to Pensacola in 2021 and I wouldn't want them going anywhere else. You won't find a better, cleaner, or more welcoming daycare in the area.

My little boy has been here for three years now, and as a mom I could not have asked for a more perfect place! We toured a number of other schools and as soon as we walked in and met Kristi , we knew this was the place for us. My son has grown and evolved not only academically and socially but spiritually as well, what more can you ask for! So grateful for each of these ladies, and the great care they take of our babies !

This place appears to be good but in reality it is not, don't be fooled. My experience was terrible, my son (2 years old) was expelled after only 15 days of being there because unfortunately he has a speech delay and bites other children because he does not know how to express himself correctly, they are not a learning center since they did not have any strategy to help him, even my son's therapist offered to support them. My son was discriminated against because of his deficiency, they are the worst.

I am very disappointed in that place, I am not one to make bad comments but I believe that they do not have the capacity to treat all children equally, understanding that they have their rules but for committing bad behavior it is not necessary to take the measure of expelling a child. child, there are other measures and interventions that you can carry out with children and, above all, teach them because none of them are born with complete learning, but as a center they do not have any respect or professionalism.

My 2 year old son, at the time, started attending ELC in August of 2020. He was expelled after the start of the new school year Aug 2021. Upon entry to his new school, The typical issues that come with learning to share and get along with others of course arose, such as throwing tantrums or hitting when a toy was taken from him. His biggest issue at 3, became transitioning from one activity to next. I brought a book that was used to help transition. I know a star reward system was used and it seemed to work, but in his new classroom they did not continue this method. Not sure why, but they stopped it. These issues continued with no change from the administration. I offered to observe the classroom multiple times and that was never acknowledged by anyone. It’s clear in their handbook that parents are “welcome” to observe, the director just needs 24 hour notice. Apparently not. Masks were not mandated there so I know that wasn’t the reason for no observation. If my child’s behavior was considered horrible enough to expel him, I could have even gotten a behavior specialist involved. NOTHING WAS suggested to my family other than “talk to him, talk to him, talk to him.” He’s three! How much talking can we do from home when the issues happen at school?! I enrolled my infant this same year and because another child tested positive for covid the infant room was shut down for 2 weeks. When my husband went to pick up my children he was unexpectedly handed a dismissal letter from Kristi. Awesome, thank you for severely disrupting my childrens learning processes, not to mention mine and my husbands ability to maintain our full time work schedules. This school is for complacent children that don’t challenge the administration.
