We absolutely love the staff here. The teachers are wonderful and my daughter loves going to school each day.
my cousin has been going there for years and nothing but good to say the new staff is amazing and caring and they go out of they’re way to make us feel welcome 10/10 recommend
Jo Ann is the owner of this daycare and a few "sister" locations with different names in surrounding areas. These daycares are poorly run. Abuse has happened here. Facility names get changed, and employees come and go like there's a revolving door for a reason. Parents, look up all of the names of the care centers you're considering on the DCF website to see professional reportings(they're public) and use the search bar in local Mom groups on Facebook to read personal experiences(including recent) at these daycares. I've learned all of this from doing my own research as I've recommended above and also learned the hard way, unfortunately. Good luck with your search for a good, loving daycare run with integrity. God bless these children.
My twin grandchildren went to this day care. Everyday they came home filthy. Their clothes were stained and ruined. The black dirt stains on the bottom of their long sleeve shirts would not come clean. Runny nose was ignored. It was dried and shiney on their face.
If I could give this place a negative rating I would. We had two children at this daycare, one was a baby in the baby room and the other a two-year-old. My wife went to pick up the children and found the babysat in a cold wet poopy diaper. When my wife asked when was the last time he was changed the young girl who was probably only around 17 years old blatantly lied I said “20 minutes ago”. We didn’t think that he was safe in that environment. Kids looking after kids. Our two-year-old, like many children of that age started biting. But he was coming home with bite marks on his body and arms and that was not being mentioned and even denied when we spoke with them the next day, and for their location, it was impossible for them to be self inflicted. After speaking with a child psychologist she told us that we need to work with him to get used to sharing his toys etc. and that would alleviate the biting. When I relayed this information to the director Julia, she basically rolled her eyes at me and said that we haven’t got the time to do that. On several occasions I noticed he was drinking a lot after we picked him up, which is a red flag for diabetes, I asked Julia if she could keep an eye on how much he was drinking during the day, and again she did the roll of the eyes, and said that I was “complaining”. And later that morning said they were “Permanently dismissing him”. I can’t see how asking to keep an eye on how much juice you are giving him is a complaint? Needless to say, we no longer go there and the children are much happier. When Kristen B was director there the place was run a lot smoother than we had no complaints, but since Kristen has left, this place has gone rapidly downhill. I wouldn’t trust these people to look after my dog!
Do not send your child here. Like some of the previous reviews this place is a disaster. I dropped my child off on the 18th of March with the usual staff and director and when I picked her up later that day the director and ENTIRE staff left, walked out that day. New faces everywhere. We parents never received any notice of the situation at hand. The owners nor new director NEVER had the decency to address the situation nor asked when to speak with refused. In this time our child came home more disheveled, more upset and bit/injured. The new director after speaking with her I am unsure if she has the educational background to be in a daycare setting. Extremely unprofessional. This facility owners also now has filed provisional licenses with their other facilities and is using this one director at all their daycares: toybox in Englewood and 2 other shamrock Blvd. Venice. Parents BEWARE!!
This place is a nightmare. Jamie abused children and the school lied about it and hide it under the rug. Do not take your child her.
