Author: Salvadora Yanes Rating: 1/5 Date: 2/1/2025, 11:56:35 AM Review: My toddler attended this school since she was 7 months old, this place was very close and convenient to my workplace so I continued to make excuses for many issues, for example constant change of teachers, daughter getting hand, foot and mouth decease twice in the same year, etc. for the most part the teachers were nice but as soon as we would start getting used to them, they would leave. Then they sent an email about the director leaving and at this point it was many changes in the last few months so I decided to se d a feedback email to the owner. It was a short email explaining my frustration about constant employees changes and the overall experience at the place. The next day I went to drop off my daughter I was confronted by Sammy, the regional manager in a very personal way like she was hurt by the email I sent. I explained to her I was running late to go to work because she kept on giving excuses on why they have changed so many employees in the last few months but I told her many times, I understand but I have to leave. When I came back in the afternoon to pick up my daughter , she was waiting for me and pulled me to the office to tell me she talked to corporate and they asked her to tell me that if I am not happy I can go someplace else. I was shocked by how little it took for them to take my feedback and turn it into this drastic suggestion. I responded saying, of course I know that’s my option and said I didn’t feel comfortable continue this conversation and please just let me pick up my daughter and leave. When they brought my daughter in I noticed she had red marks on one side of her face and scratches. I asked them what happened to her and they called 2 of the teachers, one of them who does t normally take care of her and her regular teacher. They both said they didnt see anything so I asked them to complete and incident report, take pictures and I requested to review the cameras. They told me they would let me know when everything was completed. Later that same day around 6:30 pm I received a call from another front office employee to tell me the owners have decided to not let me come back and to look for another daycare effective immediately. I never used profanity or raised my voice at any of them so I was shocked to hear this but at the same time was already Looking for another place anyways and said ok but you are being unfair. Later that same day I was giving my daughter a bath and when removing her long sleeve shirt I noticed a 4 inch bite mark on her shoulder. She was not verbal at this point and it was so frustrating to not know what happened to my baby. Next day in the morning I came back to the school very upset to get her file and to request to review the cameras. Sammy was very defensive and kept telling me to leave so I called the police. The officer came in and mediated so they agreed to show me the video of what happened to my daughter within 1 week. This happened in December of 2023, till this date they haven’t showed me the video and when I call they don’t answer the phone. I called other learning city academy locations to request to talk to the owners but they kept telling me they cannot let me talk to them. This issue was a blessing in disguise, my daughter is very happy at her new daycare and she no longer cries when I drop her off like she used to cry most of the times at LCA.

If you care about the safety of your child, this is NOT the day care for you. Don't walk away, run away as fast as possible. Recently there was an issue with a teacher in that school with my son, he was hurt and not only did the school or the teachers NOT notify me, they didn't notify my wife who's a teacher in that school, when my wife asked our son where he got this mark (that looked like someone pinched him) he immediately said: "Teacher" without hesitation, we decided to pursue answers. The school stated that they must follow protocol and it will take 24-48 hours to receive an answer; My wife was already on edge since the teacher in charge of my son's classroom lost our son twice on Friday that's could've ended badly if my wife was not in that school, thankfully he ran to her class looking for my wife. So, my wife then made it very clear to the assistant director that she will not wait 48 hours to get a response, we need an answer by the end of business day, if not we will have no other choice then to file a police report and get authorities involved. The assistant director immediately got in contact with the director and owner of that school to notify them the lengths my wife is willing to go to get answers fast and the owner showed up to the school within an hour of my wife's statement. The video footage was obtained within 1 hour of the owner being there (We have reasons to believe that the footage shown was not the proper footage and there's more to the story), they called my wife to the office, showed her the footage and then proceeded to terminate my wife's employment because she didn't trust the school or their process. We know what that means, and that is that my wife is a liability to the school and she knows too much. The school claims: they have an open door policy, but that's a lie! The director told my wife when she asked her why the parents can't come inside to drop off / pick up their kids, don't we have an open door policy? Response: "Because we have had parents seen things, so this is for the best". The school has teachers (Not all) that are very rough with the kids, get spoken to aggressively and have no business being a teacher because they have no patience with children. This last incident was the last straw for us, and not the only time we've reported incidents to the director and staff, and to no surprise the most common response is always the same, this school is understaffed and with teachers that have no business being teachers; the directors know exactly what's going on in this school but they look the other way and do absolutely nothing, this school is a mess, it's all smiles at the front but we know what happens in the inside of that school since my wife was a teacher there. They will protect their image at all costs even at the risk of children being hurt. My wife being a teacher there was a total liability there because everything she saw or was not ok with, she made it known and reported it immediately and there was no true resolutions unless she placed pressure, my wife has zero tolerance for this behavior and she truly loved her job and aimed to make a difference there, she went above and beyond for this school, she led with a smile in her face, she was a team player, she cared about each and everyone of those kids, she never kept nothing to herself, she's bold and outspoken, she was in constant communication with staff and directors notifying each and every issue that she encountered and trusted the staff and directors will do their jobs, being a great advocate for those kids, this time it was our son and the school, directors and staff learned very quickly that my wife is a MOTHER 1st before she is a TEACHER, and as they stated in their own words "She is a conflict of interest for the school and their agenda". It is very clear they are hiding things and the easiest decision for them at that moment was to get rid of the problem (My wife) in which I may be bias but has been an amazing teacher, asset, who cares and will do anything to protect "ALL" the children in that school.

Do not enroll your children here! They have their teachers and staff placing reviews to increase their rates from 2.5 to a 4 star. They are a bunch of liars and will do anything. Look at EACH "good ratings" names as they're names of teachers and staff! DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILDREN IN THIS PLACE!
Such a GREAT school! Love it here.
Nothing but great things! Very clean and love the natural sunlight that shines in.
Such a beautiful building üòÑ
Teachers are very nice. They are always working on projects and keeping the kiddos busy. Thanks for all your hard work.
Great place to bring your child or children. The Teachers are amazing, attentive, loving and caring. Ms. Remonia is one of the favorite teachers that works at the center. All of the kids loves her. The center is clean and the rooms are large. I recommend this center 100%.
This is a nice Learning City Academy.
