Author: Riri O Rating: 1/5 Date: 11/23/2023, 1:55:05 AM Review: Apparently they like to get reviews removed so let me do it again donia was rude to an employee and yelled at me in front of children and when told to jennie Jennie said “ what did you do” instead of reprimend Sonia for yelling at Me. I’ll never forget this terrible job that gave me ptsd. A bunch of catty woman who start drama because theyeve worked here for 20 years and there 40. What did I do jennie? I didn’t do anything that’s why I told you who was a higher up that DONIA was yelling at me ( an employee) in front of CHILDREN and they looked terrified. That’s what. Donia liked to bully me everyday even blamed me when kids got a cold ( tf!!?!) left me in a room full of children while I was training with the other teacher that was there. They seem to be best friends so you should know who she is she’s of bigger statue and took over for a teacher while she was sick. And they sat outside the door laughing at me. I got put into the infant room when I specifically told them I didn’t want to be in it because I didn’t know infants that much. Put me in it anyway, and we’re mad I didn’t know what I was doing The worst job I ever had.

That’s why I am so thankful to have the wonderful staff and teachers at the ladybird academy in Oviedo look after my kiddos so I could focus on work. The admin staff, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Stephanie ❤️ and Ms. Sabrina always greet us when we come in for drop offs and pick ups. They always come up with fun events, school spirit weeks and ways for parents to engage with kids at school. I appreciate the admin staff for always keeping good communication with parents through their school app as well. The classrooms are spacious, clean and well organized at this location. Not to mention the wonderful and hardworking teachers. They have curriculum even for little toddlers. Education is one of the things I love about the academy because I know that I’m not just dropping my baby off to play with toys. I know that she is there to also learn songs, socialize, learn manners, etc…My daughter lovesssss Ms. Kate. She’s not just amazing at her job but I could tell that she’s very genuine and loves her students. She is very kind and gentle with them. Her class was super fun. We really missed her when my daughter moved up to the next level class. Overall, I can’t find enough words to describe how great ladybird academy is. I appreciate them from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

My son will be graduating from VPK this May 2024 and he was on Ms. Sherly’s Pre-K B classroom. My son absolutely LOVES her! She has been incredible with him and has helped him blossom in such an impactful way! I couldn’t have asked for a better first schooling experience for my child. My daughter will definitely be coming to Ladybird School, the experience is unmatched.

We've been part of the Ladybird family since 2019. Our oldest is just about to attend his VPK graduation at Ladybird and to be honest, it's making me quite sentimental and emotional. The teachers and staff have truly become second family to us. From day one, Ms. Iris in the infant room has loved by boys like her own. Ms. Megan & Ms. Chinah in the 3 year old classroom are warriors in classroom full of high-energy toddlers. We're so grateful for their love and patience with our youngest child. Ms. Kelly and Ms. Valerie have truly blown us away this year in Pre-K A (VPK.) Our oldest is reading, writing and doing mathematics all before stepping foot in Kindergarten. We are truly in awe by how much he's learned this year and how much Kelly and Valerie pour into their classroom. You can tell they come to work everyday and absolutely love what they do. The admin staff is incredibly communicative and is always there to help answer questions and navigate issues that may arise. And shoutout to Ms. Nadine in the kitchen for helping my picky eater kids get excited about trying new foods like chili lol. Thank you to the entire Ladybird family, we love you!
After more than two years still a great place for our energetic son! Ms. Megan is great with the Caterpillars!
My son loves it here and the access to cameras and brighwheel app give the peace of mind to a new parent like myself. Definitely have to give a shout out to KATE, KAILAH & HAYLEY in the grasshoppers classroom my son is in. They are all very nice and always helpful.
Not all Ladybirds are created equal. My son was at a different Ladybird from 3 months of age until age 2 when we relocated. We wanted to minimize the amount of change he would have to face and thought keeping him under the Ladybird umbrella would be helpful due to the expectation that structure would be the same. If you have had your child in any sort of daycare facility you know that nothing is perfect but our experience here was unacceptable. There is no control at this facility. On day one at drop off the woman was understandably overwhelmed with 17 children in her care, which was clearly not following DCF regulation of 11 to 1 for this age range. She requested help of the woman at the front desk, who walked me into the class and again had no idea that this woman was more than outnumbered. I remained with my child for about 25 minutes as a comforted him in a new setting. During this time I watched three children crying inconsolably and one child choking another by twisting the collar of the other child’s shirt for several minutes before staff intervened. I was told by staff that this was not the norm and they were short-staffed that morning. This NEVER would have happened at the previous facility where we were at because they kept a rolling count of each child coming in and out of the classrooms. I tried not to judge the facility based on this initial experience. However, during pick up I attempted to introduce myself to the teacher and asked how my son had done that day. I was told “he did fine” by the main teacher, who turned toward another staff and asked her how he did. She also responded with “he did fine” and then turned around and walked away. Considering that it was his first day I was surprised by the lack of detail, lack of warmth by staff, and lack of introduction. It was at this moment that we decided to look for a different option for childcare because if this was their best behavior on day 1 I did not want to see what was down the road. Also, during this day, one of the women in his class was out of uniform the entire time. This was confusing as I had no idea who this person was. Additionally, we received an “urgent message” that evening about an upcoming audit the following day which asked parents to make sure all the children’s belongings and food were properly labeled. If structure were in place there would be no need for this message. We did not experience anything like this at his previous daycare. Not surprisingly, things seemed to be in order on the day of the audit. This did not last long as day three and four seemed to go back to chaos. My husband watched as a child, who had mucus dripping down his face was told by a staff member “I can’t believe I have to touch you” and roughly wiped his face with paper towels. In the four days my child was at this facility I watched children climbing on shelves, running across them, and jumping off repeatedly without intervention by staff. When intervention did occur, it was not redirection or gentle. I watched as the woman grabbed several children by the arms and you could clearly tell she was upset. Finally, as lunch time was wrapping up I watched my son pouring water from his sippy cup into a small plastic container and watched as the woman slapped the cup out of his hands, got in his face, and yelled at my son. I am furious that anyone would use aggression and intimidation to discipline my child. At this point my husband arrived at the facility to pick up my child. We did not even let my son finish his first week at this facility or even stay the full day on any of the days there because we were so uneasy with the care. I did not feel that my child was in competent hands.
I cannot say enough good things about this school. Both of our children have gone here since they were babies. I have watched them grow and develop with the help of many wonderful teachers. Most importantly, my children have been loved by the staff and teachers above all. A very special shoutout to Jenny, who has helped when drop off is hard for our son, for snuggles, for pictures of the kids throughout the day, for special treats, for going above and beyond to try and get smiling spring pictures. She is one of many incredible people that support this center <3 Thank you & we will miss you all SO much.
The teachers are great and the app gives you updates all day with every feeding/diaper change/nap etc. Also has live webcams to watch if you want.
