Author: Ruby Perez Rating: 1/5 Date: 2/1/2025, 12:49:39 AM Review: I don’t usually write reviews but after bringing my child here I had to. I enrolled my child here out of desperation because the previous daycare closed down. The set up of this location is extremely over stimulating but what really set me off was the staff. The teacher for vpk was every parent’s worst nightmare. She did not watch the kids she would sit on her phone the entire time while the kids ran around hitting each other. The times that she actually paid attention all she did was yell at the kids all day, get in there face, slam her hands on the table repeatedly and throw the children on their cots aggressively. I wish I could remember her name but I couldn’t get my child out of there fast enough. One month of that plus my child coming home with bites up and down the body because they lack pest control was enough for me. The only positive thing I can say about this place is they have cameras so you can watch your babies all day. ----- Author: Payton Harrell Rating: 5/5 Date: 5/21/2024, 2:54:00 PM Review: My kids love going here!!!! No comparison, best childcare in town! Cameras allow parents the ability to see kids all day from afar. There is educational plans weekly and staff is exceptional! Life is better since enrolling our twins! ----- Author: Julia Kuna Rating: 5/5 Date: 5/20/2024, 8:36:38 PM Review: I've been to many local daycare Over the years with my children. This one is by far the best experience I've had! The cameras give me confidence while being away. The staff is excellent. This is the place to pick if looking for child care

Owner is very professional, staff is caring. My one year olds first time around anyone outside of me and her mom, her grandparents and older cousins so it was a big change for her but as I watch the cameras 24/7 I notice staff comforting her when she needs it and the other littles helping each other and everyone having a great time. For the last 2-3 weeks she’s been singing E-I-E-I-O and counting so I must say La Petite is the place to be
It’s a horrible place they let kids go home with poop in there diapers especially in the preschool she doesn’t change them she leaves them like that all day. I hear one teacher in the from screaming non stop at those little kids. It’s not enough being done.
I am writing this review to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude for the exceptional care and dedication provided by La Petite academy of Port Orange. Since enrolling my son into La Petite, I have seen tremendous growth and development in his social, emotional, and cognitive skills. The nurturing environment, coupled with the structured learning programs, has truly set a strong foundation for his future academic success. The individualized attention and care that he has received from his VPK teacher Ms. A have not gone unnoticed, and I am truly grateful for her commitment to his well-being. Moreover, the facilities at this center are top-notch, providing a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play. The cleanliness and organization of the center reflect the high standards of care that are upheld by the directors and staff. I also appreciate the open communication channels that la Petite maintains with parents. The regular updates, parent-teacher meetings, and feedback sessions have been invaluable in keeping me informed about my son’s progress and addressing any concerns promptly. I am delighted with the quality of care and education that my son receives at La Petite Academy. I am confident that he is in good hands and that his time spent at the center will continue to be enriching and rewarding.
My children attend here and I am so happy that they do! This place is AMAZING! The staff and the director Ms.Charliesa are awesome and always happy and excited to see the kids , I love that they greet everyone in the morning and when we pick them up. We attended the trunk or treat and the breakfast with the grinch and it was so cool meeting other parents and seeing the kids light up and having fun. I am constantly telling my family how lucky we are to have found a daycare that not only takes really good care of the kids but provides a fun learning activities like a pre-school. The kids don’t get bored, are learning every day, and love going. We love the app and the updates throughout the day and having the camera access. Thank you ladies for all that you do for our babies!

We had consistent issues with rashes and diaper changes. We started the daycare in Jan/Feb of 2024. They provide their own diapers but we realized within that first week that it causes an allergic reaction on my toddler. It would cause welts, raised dots and a bad red rash. I asked them to use diapers that I provided. Feb 22 he came home with what looked like a chemical rash on his butt due to daycare not using his own provided Pull-Ups. They used the facilities while knowing he cannot use them since he breaks out. He seemed to be healing after a few days but then the rash got worse. I asked them to change him more frequently. March 6th He came home in a Daycare provided Diaper that started to cause a rash. Noticed at pick up. Diaper was pretty full too. March 7th dropped off Diaper Cream and filled out a Cream report with Taylor, One of the directors, and informed the morning teacher for my son. I did ask that teacher to change him more since he had a rash. PM: Lead teacher was not aware I dropped off cream, no communicate with the teachers, so rash was worse.. March 8th daycare provided diaper cause bad rash again. March 15th We got called to pick up our son due to his bad rash. (Thank you for calling). However, a different teacher that watches my son a lot said she was not aware I had dropped off cream.. so I assume it wasn’t used everytime she changed him those weeks. March 18th Daycare provided diaper again. Bad red rash. March 19, 20, 21 he still had a pretty bad rash that was getting worse and not healing. March 25th I picked him up from Daycare like normal only to get home and see his rash was bad that it was starting to bleed. His whole sides and areas were raised bumps and red. We immediately went to Urgent Care. They had to prescribe prescription cream for it to heal. Around March 27th to April 9th I let the AM teacher know that the night before his diaper was so full it was about to burst when I picked him up. April 9th PM new teacher was not informed my son required his own diapers and not their own. She was super nice but the communication with new staff needed to be better. He came home with a bad rash again. April 11 He went to daycare with zero rash. Picked up around 5-ish and got home to see his whole butt was broken out in raised red bumps and his sides where so badly red. He cried the whole night his butt hurt. April 12 had to keep my son home from daycare since the rash was so bad. Called his pediatrician 3 times. We had a lot of different teachers during this time with no communication between them. It seemed anytime we spoke of the diaper issue, it was blamed on someone else or an excuse. It did end up getting better towards the end but we no longer attend. Two other parents pulled out their toddlers during the time I attended due to the same issues. We also had an issue with false reports. We noticed a big bruise on my son’s head one week and asked about it 3 times. They had no idea what happened. Then we noticed a bite mark on EACH shoulder a few weeks later, took photos to show them, and again, no idea but was told they would look into it. Bitting happens, I totally understand that. But there was no accountability and if it was my son bitting, they would for sure let me know and write him up.. No one ever looked into until we brought it up again weeks after, a month after the bruise, and a false incident report was done for us to sign with the incorrect date.
If I could give them no stars I would, we moved here a few months ago from IL our son attended La Petite in IL, they were amazing great staff, communicated well, didn't lie. This daycare is ran by charleasa who is extremely unprofessional, isn't honest, does not know how to communicate well, Taylor i will say does a great job she's the assistant director and knows how to communicate well. The district supervisor 9f the LA Petites in the area also knows how to communicate pretty well, and was honest with me about the turn over being bad at this daycare because of management.
Both my kids go to La petite and we love it! We’ve had nothing less than a great experience here. They always have a weekly education plan posted for us to look at, cameras to access through out the day to see what our kiddos are doing, lunch menus posted, plenty of outside play to burn energy, and the teachers/staff are caring and amazing! Being able to leave my kids and feel confident that they’re in good hands is important to me and this place provides that for me!!
