Author: DeForest Gordy Rating: 5/5 Date: 12/3/2024, 12:41:21 PM Review: We had two kiddos in attendance at La petite, with one growing from infant to toddler and the other in the infant room. We have nothing but great things to say about our experience here for over 15 months and as a military family. The staff is incredibly friendly, tentative, helpful, and supportive of the growth and development of our little ones. There was never a day where we were concerned about our kids as the director and senior staff were extremely professional and aware of all situations at school. Individual classroom teachers grew close and acted as an extension of our family to the little ones with our kids excited to see them each day. We were sad to move away but would 100% recommend anyone considering childcare, to give this location a look.
Does this day care have monitoring cameras?
Yes
One review mentions cameras with blind spots, implying their existence but with limitations. Other reviews do not mention cameras explicitly.

My son has attended this daycare for roughly over two years. He’s come home with bruises on him saying his teacher (Bre) has grabbed him hurting him and putting him in time out. Keep in mind he’s 3, and the supposed cameras they have happen to have blind spots where things you can see tend to happen a lot. We’ve had numerous days where he was not changed and came home in the same diaper, to the point it has soaked thru the diaper to his pants. Then on top of all the problems we’ve had, today they decided they had the so called power to REFUSE my son food (provided by myself and his mother). My son sat crying for 15-20 mins till pure exhaustion left him almost asleep at the table while the teachers and other children ate infront of him. I am as of today removing my son from this horrible so called daycare and he will never return. I’ve called corporate and DCF and hopefully that place will get an overhaul that is desperately needed.

I have nothing but good things to say about La Petite. Our daughter attended from when she was six months old until just under two. The teachers are always smiling and positive when you walk in the door. Communication was top notch and I loved the SproutAbout app they used to update me every day about our daughter’s meals, sleep, diaper changes, etc. Her development sky rocketed while at La Petite and she had so much fun. They were always creative with events, spirit days, and class parties. The teachers really love all the kids and work hard each day to create a positive environment where the kids can safely learn and have fun. Thank you so much for everything!

I'm Here all the time, the director, assistant director and staff are always helpful, are always interating with the kids and parents. Facility is always clean and well organized
My kids have been going to this center for years and I can truly say this center is phenomenal! The teachers are so loving and caring, they love my babies as if they are their own children. Bre has been my kids teacher for the past couple months and they have learned so much including sign language. What a great center

Teachers are great! Management has significantly improved since Ms Kristy has taken over. They really do care about our kids and our boys really like going there. The facility is a little older but they have been working to improve everything and it is noticeable. Just want to say thanks to all the staff at La Petite!
The concept of the school is great; the mobile updates, the specific family codes, it all makes sense. I loved those aspects, but there were some major red flags. I didn't not receive any information for my son's registration until the night before he was to be there. I had tried contacting the center multiple times as they a very hard to reach. They rarely answer calls due to being shorted staffed and their director is constantly in classrooms. On my son's first day I was unaware of some things I needed to provide due to lack of communication on their end. Once I returned with his items he was being held by a woman who was ALLOWING HIM TO CHEW ON HER HAND IN THE MIDST OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. The woman was spoken to about this issue, but it should not have happened in the first place. I know he is teething but there is no excuse for that. The last straw was that my son was not fed what I had told them to fed him. It was in writing that he receives baby food for lunch and one day he was not given such due to another "miscommunication" between caregivers in his classroom. He was given bottles, but not the baby food he should have received at lunch so once we returned home he was so grouchy and very hungry. I do not recommend this daycare until these communication issues are resolved and a front desk personnel is hired.
I love these teachers at this center. They keep me up to date on their communication app and post pictures of my son throughout the day. I know he is in a loving and safe environment while he plays and learns.
