Biggest mistake I ever made trusting them as I had a good experience at the infant room. Teacher in the toddler room had physically assaulted my son (I had personally seeing it on camera) on multiple occasions. Marissa and Tiffeny did absolutely nothing to take care of an issue or fire the said teacher. Teachers name is Heather Johnes and I watched her on camera all day long - she hates children and I don’t know why she even works there. She drags them and physically grabs them. My son Has been verbal since 1,5 yo and he told me she is mean and scary and hurts him. I SAW on camera that she does. Lack of actions and empathy from management is horrifying. They didn’t even follow up with me or asked why we left. I absolutely don’t recommend this place. I filed a DCF report.

I witnessed abuse and neglect towards my 3yr son repeatedly in his first month at this school, and that was in the small amounts of time I’d pull up the live feed and watch, I cringe at what I may have missed. From refusing to give him water when he was thirsty, to dragging him harshly by the shirt across the room to the bathroom, to leaving him locked in bathroom by himself for more than 15 mins (and would have gone longer if I didn’t call and tell them to get him out) refusing to help him when they saw he needed it, leaving his food all over his face from lunch until i picked him up at 530pm… etc etc, when I would try to talk to the school on messenger about these incidents, I couldn’t believe the denial when I literally watched it in real time on camera, I pulled him out and would warn you not to put your child in this school. He was potty trained before he started going here and because of whatever happened while enrolled here, he was so traumatized, especially regarding going to the bathroom, that he would cry and scream at the next daycare for the first couple weeks when they’d try to take him for a bathroom break, it was so sad! Thank God after a couple weeks he learned this place was safer and started going to the bathroom normally again. :)

My daughter went here for a few months & I really held my tongue with them. I would like to say they did potty train my 3 year old, so that’s on the positive but I watched the camera so much & I saw my daughter get up & go to the bathroom by herself & saw her left in the bathroom for 20+ mins by herself while the teacher was busy doing something else. Luckily, my husband’s grandma came & picked her up but she was still on the toilet when she got there. I felt that this was ridiculous & was very upset. Before that, I saw a little girl pulling a hair tie out my daughters hair & my daughter being a 3 year old is screaming & the teacher was literally staring at the wall while all of this was happening. So we called & they said “they had it handled” as I’m watching the camera & had to see my daughter get up & tell the teacher before she even did anything about the situation. Also, they’re super short staffed so expect to pay and your kid not be able to go at least once a week. They stopped me at the door saying they closed early preschool & my daughter couldn’t attend, no message on the app or anything. As a 2 parent household where both parents work, this was very important to me & so many times we ran into them closing her class. Also, a 3 year old obviously cannot wipe themselves & so many times my daughter came home not wiped correctly. In conclusion, I would not send your kid here & I regret letting my daughter go here.

I was already on the fence about this place…went in today for a scheduled tour and they didn’t even call me to say they were unable to do it. Was also told I’d be called to reschedule and wasn’t. So unprofessional 🙅🏻‍♀️

First off, we LOVE this place and the staff! Our little girl is in the 3 year old class and has been at LPA since she was a very young two. The learning she’s done here has been amazing! So much more than colors, numbers, and alphabet. Her social skills, relationships, self esteem have all grown leaps and bounds. They’ve cultivated a love for learning within her... and for that I am so grateful! I leave her daily knowing that she is engaged, safe, loved, and well cared for! That’s huge! The Brightwheel app is used daily and we enjoy seeing everything she has done during her day and being able to instantly communicate with her teachers as well as administration. The center is one of the cleanest in the mornings and evenings... the in-between is obviously filled with small children making big messes during learning through play... and that is as it should be. If you want your child to come home perfect, pressed, and not dirty from an epic day of play and learning, this isn’t the center for you! I was an educator for almost 2 decades. I did most of my career in Early Childhood prior to receiving my Masters and PhD. That said, I’ve seen my share of educational centers and providers. In an ocean of choices, I can say with confidence that this LPA location has some of THE BEST & most awesome, passionate teachers who become like an extension of the family! They also have a supportive Director & Assistant Director! They’re constantly in and out of classrooms supporting teachers & always ready to lend a hand. The Director is one of the most kind, personable, and down to earth ladies I have ever had the pleasure of knowing! I’ve also never been made to feel unimportant or like admins don’t care. On the contrary, they inquire about how we are, how work is going, and always tell us if there’s anything they can help us with to let them know. Should be noted that this location is an older building. It could be said that LPA could stand to renovate this location HOWEVER, it’s safe, clean, and functional and is a fantastic place for young children to learn and grow! We will be happily sending our youngest boy here in the spring! Keep up the great job, LPA!! We love you!!

My daughter is attending la petite academy and this is her first time in a daycare setting, first time she's not with me. With that being said the infant room and the toddler room have made the adjustment and transition for her and myself as painless as possible. And I would like to thank the teachers for that. As a teacher myself, one may not understand the many hats we wear and for that you are so appreciated. Thank you.
