When I first put my children here I was happy I found a little daycare/after school care that would allow a 9-5 working mom to pick up my kids at 6pm as well as have a happy friendly atmosphere for my kids to be in when I wasnt around. But little by little I found things more and more that bothered me about this daycare. I found two of the teachers to be AMAZING, one of them told me when my child had gotton hurt EVEN if she didnt know How or When. However the postive in her DID NOT weight out the bad I found in the school. This daycare is closed all holidays, one week for Christmas, Most if not ALL teacher duty days, as well as other random days the Volusia county schools are closed, This is a probelm for a working mom. Even though some weeks they were only open 2-3 days we still paid full price. The one "Free" week they give you is Christmas week and they are closed. How is that free. If you have afterschoolers, they not only make you pay the after school fee weather there is school or not but a $20.00 fee on top of that! in the "contract" they make you sign they say snacks are included but I was still told to bring in monthly snacks. All these things kept adding up under my skin until one day I walked in to pick up my children. My one year old had a gash above his eye. The Director didnt know what happened, neither did the teacher. My five year old told us the story. My one year olds shirt was soaking wet so I took it off and they offered me another childs clothing (is that where my extra clothes go? Home with someone else?) as my one year old was going to grab his lunch box, I notice his new black jeans had BLEACH stains on them. The director then said to my baby when I pointed it out "Did you get into the bleach?" REALLY??? At this time I knew I had to find a new center for my children. When the director found out I was leaving she called my cell and proceeded to tell me I was NOT DOING WHATS BEST for MY CHILDREN, I was being selfish. When picking my kids up on thier last day, I was told I wouldnt be getting my belongs (pillow, blanket, mat, dipaers) until I paid 2 weeks worth of daycare bc I had a "contract" I will NEVER recommend this center to ANYONE even though I think one of the teachers is amazing! Im pretty sure the "Contract" was broken when you couldnt tell me why my child had cuts and brusies all over him. Boys will be boys and Im not a mother to complain but People who belittle mothers for doing what they think is best should not be watching my children! DO NOT GO THERE!!!
