This is the ONLY location I felt completely comfortable with for my son. He is our first and we wanted to make sure we were doing this "right". Speaking with the Director set me at ease and allowed me to take a step back while he grew in the right hands (educationally). There has not been one instance where I feel like we haven't been heard, uncomfortable, or second-guessed our decision to go with KA. I have already recommended this location to others because of the comfort and confidence I have. All of the programs offered, although he is an infant, the ability for future growth in KA Plantation, and the warmth you feel is absolutely unmatched.

Is this day care considered safe?

Yes

While there are negative reviews mentioning incidents, many positive reviews praise the safety and nurturing environment provided.

Miss Chrismerry, Miss Yami, and Miss Juli are absolutely wonderful super friendly, caring, and so good with her. They make sure she gets as much attention as possible, and it’s clear that they truly love what they do. Every day, I feel confident that she is in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. We’ve already seen so much growth in her development, and I'm grateful for the amazing team at Kiddie Academy. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a loving and supportive daycare! ----- Author: Laís Bim Rating: 5/5 Date: 4/9/2024, 11:29:13 AM Review: My daughter has been studying at this school since we arrived from Brazil, around a year and 7 months ago, barely speaking a single word in English. She gained vocabulary and customs little by little. Since she joined VPK, she has grown wonderfully. This weekend we were with friends and she communicated only in English for hours and also a little Spanish. I see routine, I see linear understanding when doing homework because the teachers have already explained it in advance, I notice very solid and safe socialization and my little one's desire to go to school and be with the teachers and her friends. Every day she has beautiful things to tell me, and when she is afraid of something, she is welcomed in the most sensitive and delicate way. Ms Heena and Ms Arelys are the best qualified, professional and enthusiastic teachers to be with the children. They teach truly, with patience and dignity, without taking away from children the opportunity to make mistakes. I have no doubt that I can feel VERY safe with them and with school every day. I feel that Kiddie Academy has provided an excellent upgrade over the last 8 months and I say this from my perspective as a mother who came from another country, with several fears and who today has a super support network to rely on. I love you, and my daughter, without a doubt, does too. Thank you for all the small and big care for her and my family!💖💓😍

There is no doubt my granddaughter will be kindergarten ready! ----- Author: Carla D Garcia-Weaver Rating: 5/5 Date: 8/11/2022, 12:17:12 PM Review: Love this school, their teachers, curriculum. My kid never had a bad day there in 4 yrs attending. They make learning fun and during summer there are always fun activities happening. And I liked the cameras in the classroom so I could check on my kid if it felt like it. We are really going to miss this school.

Author: Simeon G Rating: 1/5 Date: 6/20/2024, 11:00:29 PM Review: Removed my Son and daughter from KA plantation. Their VPK class is incredible but there's nothing else worth staying for. On my sons first day at 14 months old they let him cry for 45 mins alone on the carpet. I watched on the camera the entire time before leaving work early to pick him up and of course found him still crying in the same spot. The teachers ignored him the entire time. (Ironically, the cameras are limited access now) The director is unhelpful, speaks over you and doesnt follow through on anything. Some of their best teachers were let go/replaced but when you try to address any classroom concerns the director says her " teachers are unqualified"..( but you hired them?) Also seems like new management is just picking names out of hat and asking parents to have their children evaluated. We used to to love this school but i cant defend unprofessionalism from the leaders while paying $320 weekly $200$ registration $ 300 material fee then asking for fundraising throughout the year. *I am also concerned that they are limiting cameras further to just 15 mins of access a day * ******* update in response to Owner. The incident occurred on 10/31 8a-11am in the younger 1s class. When I arrived the teachers apologized and explained they had been busy decorating for the party.I understand if you do not recall since you also never address the issue with me. I am entitled to my honest review based on facts regardless of how it portrays a business. I do thank you for your prompt response. I'm sure if you had addressed my concerns as quickly as google review things would have worked out for the best. ----- Author: Elizabeth Hogan Rating: 5/5 Date: 3/26/2024, 3:29:50 PM Review: We love it here! Last year we had Ms Maria and Ms Sandra. They were AMAZING. This year Ms Sandra moved up and we have Ms Lily! They are the greatest. My child comes home with great art work that is clearly her own! They send photos through the day and you can access the cameras around where your child is. Highly recommend. Bonus breakfast lunch and snack are included! Big plus for busy parents ----- Author: Amanda McFarlane Rating: 5/5 Date: 3/15/2024, 12:37:19 AM Review: We love this school and my son has loved all of his teachers. They are caring and teach him so much. The live feed cameras were our reason for finding this school years ago. I'm very sad to leave when he starts kindergarten. ----- Author: Aaliyah Davis Rating: 5/5 Date: 1/5/2023, 7:21:10 PM Review: I love this daycare for my son! He loves it also.. Never had a bad experience and everyone is so nice. I would recommend this place to anyone & you can watch your child on the cameras! ----- Author: Niki Perez Rating: 5/5 Date: 9/27/2022, 4:25:51 AM Review: Reinforced and creative education for young kids is paramount here. The Director, Heather, is very involved and responsive. Love the cameras and pictures. Z has had great teachers. Shout out to Stephanie for the amazing potty training! She has been reachable by email and is also responsive. School handled Covid extremely well, except for when the owner stopped responding to our questions (Aug 2020). But overall, we are happy here. Update (Sep 2022): I had another discussion with the owner, Judy, this past May. During our 2nd conversation, I came to know that day represented the 1st time she’d spoken to Z, and that didn’t sit well with me. Besides that, I couldn’t put my finger on why the negative feeling of it all felt so familiar until I went back through my messages and emails from 2020. Shortly thereafter, Mairav, stepped in and corrected the situation as best she could. To my understanding, Mairav is the school manager. I’m glad she is in that position b/c Mairav got us comfortable with keeping Z at this school. Heather is no longer the Director. Jody has assumed the Director role. I can’t say I know Jody on a personal level like I did Heather, but Jody is certainly a present figure. This is comforting as Heather was also very present. Jody seems organized, balanced, and creative in her educational approach. To give context to my concluding point that will follow, I believe Z has been here since June 2019 (he turns 5 in Nov). Z started off with Janice. After that, Stephanie potty trained him like a boss when he turned 2 (she actually takes most of my calls now at the general school phone line), and Alexis was amazing to Z for 3. Janice was his teacher again last year at 4, along with Casey. Z is in VPK now with Robin as his primary, but she also spent time with him in 2019. Z has told me as of late he spends time with Destiny in the afternoons or when Robin needs assistance. All the above teachers know Z well; he’s often referred to each one of them as some of his best friends, especially when Z is assigned to their classes for a year or more. I would also like to note that Janice and Robin made themselves available via email and/or text, in the same way Stephanie did. Regardless of pamphlets given and emails sent out, I would like to see bios/profiles/pictures of the staff on the Kiddie Academy Plantation’s website including: directors, managers, teachers, assistants, etc. I know I missed a lot of loving individuals that have cared for my son over the years in the recognitions above, and I’m sorry for that. To be candid, most of the time I am not made aware of the other teachers and/or staff that may be taking care of my son during the “afternoon shift” or in the event of absences, staff shortages, etc. until Teacher Appreciation Week. Perhaps I run into them by chance, or Z tells me b/c I ask him. Not only would a landing page on the website clearly define which classes teachers are assigned to and where they may rotate, but it also gives current and future parent members access to every staff members credentials and experience with the age group they are assigned to. Above all else, this change would empower, recognize and acknowledge all staff members, and simultaneously enable us parents to get to know them on a constant/revolving basis. ----- Author: Carla D Garcia-Weaver Rating: 5/5 Date: 8/11/2022, 12:17:12 PM Review: Love this school, their teachers, curriculum. My experience with Kiddie Academy started off great, but unfortunately, things took a turn. The school itself is clean and well-organized, and most of the staff are incredibly kind and professional. However, my experience with my child’s care was disappointing. There was a serious lack of communication—no one informed me when my child was bitten, when she got sick and was throwing up, or when she was exposed to Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease. In fact, the infected child was sitting right next to mine, and I wasn’t made aware. As a parent, I expect better communication regarding my child’s well-being, and sadly, that was missing. a lot more happened but honestly this is not worth it

This daycare has been an amazing experience for my child and our family. The staff is outstanding—professional, kind, and truly passionate about the care and development of the children. Each member of the team goes above and beyond to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. The director is equally exceptional, leading with dedication, warmth, and a clear commitment to fostering a positive experience for both the children and their families. The communication is always clear and thoughtful, and the facility is clean, organized, and designed to support learning and fun. It’s evident that the entire team takes great pride in what they do, and it brings me so much peace of mind knowing my child is in such capable and caring hands. I highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a place where their child will truly thrive.

We have 2 kids here at the Plantation Kiddie Academy and we could not be happier withe level of care and attention that our babies receive every day. We get daily reports with picture updates and it truly is priceless to know that your kids are in good hands. Ms Sonia is a dream with our 2 year old. He went from not wanting to leave us to confidently walking in and even asking for her on the weekends. I know how important it is to choose childcare and felt obligated to come on here and share my experience. We LOVE Kiddie Academy! Thank you guys for loving our babies.
