I absolutely LOVE this place. I found it in 2021 and my son was barely 7 months old. I was hesitant about putting him in daycare but when I met Betsy and saw her facility, I knew it was perfect for us. It’s not big so the class sizes are small and I felt like my son got the attention he deserved here. When he started, he was the only baby but that quickly changed. My son knew his ABC’s, shapes, colors, and was singing songs all by the time he was 18 months old. They took the time to not only care for my child but TEACH him. In 2022, when we got custody of my step daughters (5 & 2 at the time), I immediately set them up with Betsy and they LOVED it there. And when I had my youngest, the only place I wanted him to be was with Betsy. I’ve recommended this place to my co workers and they have had good experiences here as well. Betsy is amazing. She’s always one phone call or text away. Margo and Martha are phenomenal and so are the younger girls who work with the kids in the afternoons. They communicate how my children’s days have gone and if I ever have an issue (which is basically never), I am able to resolve it with the staff pretty much right then and there. My baby will be 3 and starting Headstart next year and we are going to miss this place so much, or I will at least! Just want to throw a HUGE thank you to everyone who works here. You guys not only care for these kids, you can tell you love them all. And Lord knows my now 4 year old was a HANDFUL but they always handled him with love and I will be forever grateful to them for that! I will say that it is a more “relaxed” daycare than I’ve seen but I like that about it. Some parents may not. They don’t have cameras that the parents have access to but that’s never really bothered me. They do a sign in and out sheet and they now have an app that makes signing the kids in and out much easier and they have an auto pay option for fees. The atmosphere is fun and loose and it was just the right fit for us. I’ve seen multiple children continue to stay right along with my children and I love that as well. All of their friends are there. Overall, a great place in my opinion. Any time anyone asks me about daycares, I sent them to Betsy first. Thanks again everyone who works there. We love you guys!!!

My kids having been going here for years and I love it. Professional, caring, and attentive. Mrs. Margo is very sweet with my kids and knowledge about different ways to approach them depending on the situation. I recommend them to all my friends and family. Matter of fact, my family actually referred me and I never looked back. 💯

Both of my kids have been attending here since covid hit. It was during a very scary time. They were so little, but Mrs. Betsy definitely made me feel at ease during the decision to put my kids in childcare for the first time. I would receive pictures and text throughout the day, letting me know how their day was going. My kids never got sick and they enjoyed going. Mrs . Martha taught them so much. Now that they are older they attend during summer break!! I am forever grateful that they have continued to take very good care of my kids. Thank you!

If you are reading comments from 4years ago and immediately removing Florida leaders from your list I’m here to say reconsider. my son has been attending Florida leaders for 6+ months and I was extremely hesitant at first ONLY because of the past reviews . I have witnessed so much growth from my son and he truly loves going every morning. I am always in the loop and aware of any incidents that tends to happen amongst little ones . I am very happy with this school and would recommend! Everyone is very welcoming and smily everyday !

Speaking as a parent. My daughter time at Florida leader Academy was great! The staff and owner were good with her. She never came home dirty, wet or with unexplained bruises on her. She would cry everyday when I dropped her off but was cared for immediately and she stopped crying and started playing with her teacher and her friends. Florida leader Academy is a young business Ms.Betsy and her staff love the children and I as a parent do believe they would never initially put a child in harms way. With that being said..There are some things that needed work and still need work but have been improved on. I loved my daughter being there when she was there. As far as the security of the center goes. The doors are locked, you can see the people coming up to the door before they notice that you have seen them. She did have cameras in the main building, I’m sure she is working on more. Anyways, you are only allowed to have 3 (not 14+) on the pick up list. If anyone other then the people who are on the list are to come to get the child YOU ARE TO CALL the center to make them aware that someone other then the 3 people on the list are coming to get the child. Closing time is at 5:30p.m not 5:31 which I might state that after 5:30 p.m the Center is no longer responsible for keeping the child it is now considered abandonment . It is at the center discretion If they keep the child and wait on the parent or should the child be put into the hands of the sheriff department. Fortunately Florida leader Academy waits on the parent to get there. So that parents won’t have to explain to the sheriff why they Didn’t pick the child up before closing. The only time I have seen or known that someone wasn’t asked for Id is when the center was closed. I’m not at all making excuses for them to not Id the person but after the same people continue to pick up and drop off a child it makes no sense to continue to id the same people. If a person has picked up a child several times. Well that pretty much explains why! There was no Id required. I’m just giving an insight on how things are done at Florida leader Academy. If it was as bad as some of the parents are saying it is. Why did it take them so long to move their children 👀..smh I’m just saying..lol I wouldn’t have kept my daughter somewhere for a year where I felt it was not on the up and up..Doesn’t sound right to me 💁🏾‍♀️

If i could give this place no stars I would but since I have to give a rating I will give it 1 star. There are so many reasons I can think of as to why this place should be closed down but the first reason is the owner is very irresponsible and makes excuses every time a parent complains about things in the organization. She does not have a clue what's going on half of the time and the security, well let's just say there really is none. There has been several times that I have gone to pick up my nephew and no one has ever checked my ID nor made me sign him out (like the first time I ever picked him up I had to make them check my ID and if I was on his pick up form). Then there was a incident where I went to pick my nephew up and he was not there and response I got was that "the girl that usually comes to get him already picked him up" when i asked her name her response was "I don't know I will have to look at his pick up form and I will know who by the list of names on his form" (again he was not signed out so she had no clue and the name she gave me was not the person that she let check him out). After several complaints they finally got a check in/out system on a tablet but every time I go to pick him up it is dead and Betsy says she will check him out later once it's up and running again. Now today he comes home with a swollen eye that appears to be turning black and it has a scratch under it. I called to ask her what happened and if there was a incident report and she says she don't know what happened as they didn't notice it but she is trying to figure it out and because they have NO cameras we have no way to verify why his eye is swollen. So she wants me to text her ANOTHER picture of his eye and when I do I ask can she write up a incident report even if it says they don't know what happened (which is negligence on their behalf) and she responds and says sorry she can't. I asked her why and her response word for word "Because we don't know what happen tell the person who picked him up to call me maybe she can help me write up something because that's so visible". I mean how unprofessional is she as a owner? She should be asking his teacher what happened as my family member does not work there so how is she to know what happened while he was in their care? We will be reporting this facility as this is unacceptable. There has been so many incidents with this place that I have noticed when i go up there and I am glad my sister is going to look for another facility. I just wish she would have done so at a sooner time because this is upsetting. Word of advice, Do NOT open up a facility to care for other people children if you are not going to hold up your end of the deal and actually look after them in a caring and professional manner. UPDATE: After reading my review Betsy proceeds to text my sister a long message instead of calling her like a "professional" business owner would do and trying to get a resolution. Being professional should be the NUMBER 1 priority on your list as a business owner. You have a lot of growing to do in the corporate world or your business is going to fail very quickly. Instead of being argumentative about every complaint maybe you should take it as constructive criticism and build a better business for yourself and relationship with your customers especially if they have made previous complaints on you in the past with DCF. You don't always have to be so defensive about everything. It's okay to say "thank you, I will try to correct that or is there anything I can do to solve this problem?" It will take you much further than having a rebuttal or excuse all the time. People do not like excuses when it comes to their children's health. You have to put yourself in other peoples shoes and learn from your mistakes. My review was not made to start any confrontation with you but simply to make other parents aware of the way things are run within your facility. I hope that this is a growing lesson for you and that you make some major changes before it is too late.
