Our girls have been going here for years, everyone has great here!
Amazing teachers! My daughter is well prepared for kindergarten because of such a wonderful VPK program. Miss Meghan and Miss Holly are a dream team and make the kids feel so loved and always had something fun planned for them.
Thankful for the director and teachers who truly care for the children, they have all been there for many years, no turnover in teachers which says a lot!My children ages 3 and 6 (after school care, full time summer) are very happy and excited to go every day, there is usually a long waiting list because this learning center is so amazing we were blessed enough to get in very thankful!
FishHawk Early Learning Center is amazing! All the teachers we encountered were wonderful! Plus, the facility is spotless and they emphasize frequent hand washing. I am so glad that my son attended here for VPK.
Awful place. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Uneducated teachers, without patience and preparation to care for children. Rude director. Rules not understandable for children. Day care is old, dirty and disgusting. There are other recommendable daycare at Fishhawk, such as Ladybird, which offer a high level of education and care. I personally didn't even send a dog to this place.
My daughter went here for vpk and I couldn’t have asked for a better school for her to start her first year at! We absolutely adored Mrs. Kristen and Mrs. Kirsten!! They are the best vpk teachers ever!! They are so kind, sweet, caring, and fun all while getting the kids to learn so much at the same time! My daughter is more than prepared for kindergarten and it’s truly because of her wonderful teachers!! If you’re looking for a school for your little ones, this is the place to send them!
I couldn’t say enough good things about this place. We are so lucky to have Mrs. Heather and Mrs. Melissa as teachers and it’s truly just an amazing experience. Haven’t ran into one rude person yet. Thank you for all you guys do!
If I could give this facility a 0 star I would. The director/owner of this place is a bully. She is vile and runs this place so poorly on so many levels. The security here is bad, they leave the door code on the front desk for anyone to obtain. The VPK building does not have anyone at the desk in the afternoon to great people when they enter the building and ensure they are the designated person that is supposed to be picking up a child. Some of the staff are there for the wrong reasons. The staff discuss student issues with other parents. They allow volunteer parents in the classrooms more than the guidelines state. One mom was in my child's classroom almost every day and was not fingerprinted or was over the weekly allotted volunteer hours. If your child has a urine issue, despite being potty trained, they will place a note in the child's bag and inform you they must wear pull ups until the issue is resolved, despite the fact they knew the child was being seen by physicians and the mom was trying to figure out if the child had a kidney problem. Then they will make the child wear the pull ups for eternity which eventually the other kids in the class see them and make fun of them.. There was not a sit down discussion about this and there was not a care plan for how long the child must wear the pullups and the actions the staff was going to take to assist with the issue. The staff stated they did not have time to deal with the situation despite they were issued a urologist's order to allow the child to go to the bathroom more frequently. The director/owner threatened to kick this child out of the daycare because of this issue and sided with the staff when they stated they did not have time to deal with it. All they had to do is tell the child to go to the bathroom when the watch bell went off. Some of the staff is too young and immature to handle the children. The director calls the Elementary school to discuss the children with the principle and teachers, and the school calls this facility to inquire how the incoming kindergarten children should be placed. The director/owner and some of the employees are incompetent to handle situations. The director/owner is incapable in speaking with parents if there is an issue, rather she likes to contact you on the phone and bully you. She loves to over speak you. She loves to threaten to kick your child out, especially when you are not aware that there is an issue. She does not like it when you debate the issue with her, she wants you to listen to her and follow her rules without any discussion or compromise. The owner/director is a compulsive liar. She has the personality of a piece of paper. The decisions she makes towards the parents are ultimately hurting the child, but, she does not care. The facility is old and feels like a prison inside. They try to decorate it with some of the pictures the children make but those still do not change the atmosphere.
Great school great teachers and staff ! My son loved it here and learned so much in the vpk program !
Our daughter is about to graduate from VPK here. The teachers and staff have been friendly and welcoming from day one. They ensured our daughter was challenged while keeping education fun and engaging. Thanks to FELC, our daughter feels confident and ready to begin Kindergarten in the Fall.
