Author: Barreto Family Rating: 5/5 Date: 5/10/2022, 3:50:53 PM Review: When my kiddo was 6 years old, she graduated Kindergarten from a pure Montessori school where she had thrived since the age of 2. Their program ending at age 6/Kindergarten prompted a search for the next phase of education. Finding a true Montessori school near Boca Raton is no easy task. Many claim Montessori, and while some components may be incorporated, there is a huge difference between that vs.100% Montessori curriculum and certified teachers. When we found Emerging Minds Montessori Academy (EMMA), we were thrilled to learn their program was the pure curriculum we were seeking AND even more excited to learn their education extended through 8th grade. Upon meeting Jeanne Weigel, Head of the School, there was an immediate positive connection and zero doubt we wanted to be a part of the EMMA community. We are now ending our second year with EMMA, and it has been nothing short of amazing. The teachers, the administration, the classmates, and the curriculum have far exceeded all expectations. It is a family. My kiddo is thriving and is connected to a supportive community. I am confident she is getting the academic, emotional, and social growth opportunities she needs to continue a successful life journey. We look forward to next year, and the many to follow.

Our 5 year old and 8 year old children began school at Emerging Minds this year and we have been exceedingly pleased with the school. The new campus and building are beautiful, the teachers and staff are wonderful and most importantly, our kids are thriving and happy. So happy to be apart of the EMMA family.

I am forever grateful for this unbelievable amazing school. My children are able to learn in a friendly environment. Ms Jeannie and the staff are so compassionate, kind and have a great outlook. Thank you!!!! Can’t wait for the new location, the grounds are stunning.
My kids are happy and learning every day! Ms. Jeanne, the director, cares about the children. My kids have been able to live an everyday life during this pandemic. Living without fear and every kid and family is respected on their personal choice. The teachers are excellent, and my kids are doing above-level grade work. I can't wait for the new campus! Thank you, Emerging Minds! Forever grateful for finding you!
Before signing my now 3yo daughter into school a year ago, I toured a good amount of Montessori and traditional schools, and I can assure you EMMA is no doubt the best place for a Montessori education. The feeling of family and community, the exceptional certified teachers and admin staff, and for me one of the most important things - the respect for the child -. I can't be more grateful for founding this school, and it goes up to 8th grade! Recommended 100%
Horrible! Not professional, not caring, not prepared, unorganized, they want your money ONLY! Doesn't care for.your.child NOT SO EVER! Eliminate headache and find a REAL montessori school!
Completely HEARTBROKEN! I was “wined and dined by Jeanne” - told that my son would receive special attention like every child based upon their needs. I felt conditioned to believe my 3 year old would be receiving the attention he needed. I discussed with them that he is delayed in speech and this will be his first interaction with teachers. She explicitly explained to me my son would be on the path to the learning time he needed and he would be protected. The fourth 1/2 day we attended, I walked my son to his room and said goodbye. I walked down the hall and past the teachers holding the doors and across the parking lot to my vehicle. I was at my vehicle and I heard my son yelling and RUNNING toward me. NO one protected him and they all stood there while my son ran into the driveway to me. I paid over 3000$ for 7 half days and 2 hours. I was also told by two individuals who are NOT pediatricians nor are they physiatrists that my child needed APA Therapy. They told me that perhaps he could come back as a “helper” in the two year old room. I’m so upset and SO disgusted that I ever experienced these moments with their facility and “teachers”.I was refunded $1100.00. I left lost, hurt, sad and hopeless. That’s where they left us as they threw some of my money back at me like we didn’t deserve it. I hope NO one will ever have to experience what we experienced with this “school”.
Excellent
From the administration to the teachers and the supporting staff --We absolutely LOVE EMMA! My oldest has learned & grown so much since starting in the 2&3's classroom. I'm very happy with the care & education my child has received. I cant wait for my youngest to join in a couple of years.
This school is by far the most outstanding place my children can go to. The classrooms are clean, well organized, full of wonderful activities for the kids to learn and grow, and is also a safe environment. They are proactive with the children and each child receives individual attention from all the staff. The staff themselves are absolutely the most wonderful people I've ever met. My children love all the teachers and know each one by name. If the children are upset at drop off, the teachers take the necessary time to calm them and make them comfortable. This school is so extraordinary that I will never have my kids go anywhere else. My children and I will forever be Emerging Minds biggest fans! Thank you to each and every one of the wonderful people at Emerging Minds for helping my children grow into the extraordinary people they will become!
