Author: gpbrianbaja Rating: 1/5 Date: 8/17/2023, 7:16:53 AM Review: My 3 year old daughter’s 1st day at day the daycare staff left marks on her face. I was told three different stories of why the marks were there. First was she came there like that. When I told them I had video and pictures of her there, they change it to a mosquito bite and I pointed out that is no mosquito bite, they changed the story to it could have happened when they were cleaning her face. Don’t trust the camera are there to protect your children. I took my daughter to the Sheriffs Department directly and had to wait over two hours before being seen. They could not see anything definitive on the cameras. CPS came and told me the same story but that the staff admitted it could have happened during the time the staff was cleaning her face. How do you clean a child’s so hard to leave marks for days after? I was told by CPS that the facility will not be holding their staff accountable or retraining their staff from preventing this in the future. My daughter is continuously telling me her teacher with big nails hurt her. She is afraid to go to school and be hurt by the teacher again. Please protect your children

My son has been attending this daycare since June 2024, and I haven't faced any atrocious issues so far. Miss Mary, the director, is always responsive to my concerns and questions when I reach out. She has a cheerful and professional attitude, and she greets everyone warmly as they enter, which creates a welcoming environment. Tamara and Mrs. Silvia are both outstanding educators, with Mrs. Silvia being my personal favorite. I truly appreciate her genuine nature, attentiveness, and kindness. Knowing that Mrs. Silvia is there gives me great peace of mind, as I trust that my son is receiving excellent care. (Even though,I often bug her to apply extra sunscreen on himüòÖüòÖ) It took me a while to write this review because I wanted to be sure that this daycare was the right fit. While every place may have its challenges, I believe this daycare is a great choice.

**1 Nov 2024 Update: Just leaving a few pictures of a trophy we presented the staff for over 12 years of dedicated childcare services. We are truly grateful for the staff. God Bless them!** The Discovery Point (DP) Summerfield (13011 Summerfield Crossing Blvd, Riverview, FL 33579) is one of the best educational childcare with strong a family partnerships in an active, engaged, and fun environment that promotes a love of learning. We have four kids (one with special needs from birth to 20 months old) that attend this center since 2012. The teachers provide and show love, support, respect, and attention to all children and parents. Our kids always speak highly of them and the place on a weekly basis and our kids learn a great deal at DP, to include socializing with other children, manners, respect elders, and even another language. Our kids learning and discipline development progresses each week and are extremely excited when DP hosts events. We recommend Discovery Point Summerfield to anyone who is looking to have their child taken care of, and parents leaving with peace of mind after dropping them off. I special shout-out to the following teachers: Ms. Letty, Ms. Mary, Ms. Glennis, Ms. Maria, Mr. Dennis (no longer there), Ms. Rachel (no longer there), Ms. Xxxx there are more, but cannot remember. Ms. Mary the director is super charismatic, always with a smile on her face and shows support to the teachers and staff. Ms. Letty has been with all 4 kids since birth, she is the primary one that instills good order and discipline in our children, especially the “Bear” which she can get out of control sometimes. Ms. Glennis showed extreme passion, confidence and consideration when caring for our smallest child with special needs, needing a feeding tube every four hours to feed. Ms. Maria – what can I say, she’s been there since our oldest was born and seen all 4 kids go through that baby room, crying, pooping, and millions of diapers. Words can’t express how appreciative we are for her. These teachers do not get enough recognition from other parents nor management. We try to show our appreciation by buying them pizzas, gifts, and other things to show our sincere appreciation to have them in our lives. We are in forever debt with these teachers! Thank you Discovery Point! The Fridley Family Chris, Chelsie, Aurora, Charlotte, Carson, Harper

My son has been attending to his daycare for the past 5 months, I would say this place has been a blessing to our family. I can see the difference from his previous daycare. Here they are caring, loving, compassionate and communicative. They keep children engaged with activities. My son is very happy and has been learning a lot of things. The director is always available at front desk. Place is clean too. Truly a blessing to know my son is in good hands while I am at work. He loves his teachers, he hugs them every morning . Thank you teachers Maria, Damaris and Lousmar.

I joined my son when he is 2 years old..He learned a lot of things, Sharing, taking turns, he is speaking lot of words, but I don’t like one thing the staff members or the teachers are not having good communication skills, they can’t understand minimum basic English, entire staff are Spanish people.. they need to recruit atleast teachers who have good communication skills..But they are so friendly and good people

My children have both been at Discovery Point since they were 6 weeks old. This daycare is nothing short of amazing! They are structured, organized, reflective, and most of all loving! My 3 year old still goes and visits his old teachers every morning and they put in effort into maintaining those relationships. They currently are assisting in teaching my 1 year old how to walk and my 3 year old learns something new every day! Ms. Mary is always there to listen and help whenever we need something! I wouldn’t put my babies anywhere else!
