Author: Laurie Rappaport Rating: 5/5 Date: 2/18/2024, 9:28:26 PM Review: This was the synagogue we attended when we were kids of the 80's. I went to Hebrew school HERE before we moved to Israel when I was almost 9 years old, for 3-4 years. Which Nothing could prepare me for the culture shock difference, however it meant the world to me to Finally find out We weren't the Only ones of this culture bc of how we're "typically" raised in America. In Israel it's different & we're Not condemned for Anything as kids. When we moved to Isreal, I finally Knew, This was where I belonged. This place/ my childhood synagogue was my safe haven until I saw we were mostly with the same beliefs over there. I could be a Jewish kid without repercussions there. Esp in those days. I just want to Thank Everyone that participated in my upbringing & helped mold how Deeply my Jewish faith/roots run in my blood & in my family that I have created since. I couldn't be more thankful & I'm only sorry it took me this long to say it. Esp w what's going on in our country since 10/07/23. I'm just hoping my message will help Anyone going through what I did as a kid. Not knowing who to trust or who will condemn me for who I am, who We are. THIS message is for her or him. We ARE God's chosen people and WE will be Forever, Am Yisrael Chai 🇮🇱🇺🇸

As a Rabbi of a prominent Long Island congregation, I had a rare opportunity of attending a Sabbath Morning Service in St. Pete, FL. and was extremely impressed by its lay led service (Service leader, Rabbi, Cantor, Torah Reader etc.). Members of the congregation were very warm and welcoming—as my children and grandchildren experienced a formidable service. B’nai Israel earnestly welcomes people who come from all walks of life without having to advertise it, making synagogue participation— simple, memorable, inviting, and fun! Well Done.
