We toured the facility and everything seemed fine but we were not able to view the rooms while we were there. A few days after our son started I noticed signs something wasn't right. When I would pick him up he was extremely tired, covered in dried on food and smelling foul, and usually missing a sock and/or shoe. In the first week the teachers lost 2 pairs of his socks and the cap to a bottle. The drop off/pick up situation is very disorganized. Most times he wasn't in his classroom but in another room so I would have to go hunt down his belongings, his milk bottle usually left on a counter, his other bottles in the refrigerator, his lunch box in another location, and dirty clothes in yet another location, then go collect him from another room. They do not have trash bags for soiled clothes so instead they would be shoved into a latex glove and put back in his clean clothes drawer. There was a day he came home with a bruise on his forehead and no one called to notify me. Another day his clothes were wet and I was told he kept playing in a puddle outside, which to me means he wasn't supervised. One afternoon I picked him up and was told he was so tired he fell asleep on the floor, which again tells me no one was watching him to see his ques for a nap. Several times while picking him up I would notice one teacher interacting with the babies and the others just standing around. I would have to walk through a sea of infants lying or sitting on the ground to physically pick up my son because they could not be bothered to bring him to me at the door. There were a couple of days that a baby would be crying on the floor and a teacher just standing there, doing nothing, and it broke my heart. They're infants, pick them up and soothe them. By then end of the second week his actual temperament had changed. He was biting my husband and I and throwing things, neither of which had he done before and at only 11 months old. And both of which have stopped after a few weeks at his new daycare. Lastly, once we decided to remove him from Collina I had a phone call with the manager to raise my concerns and I would say she was dismissive about most items but did say she would have a talk with the teachers.

Author: Aaron Rating: 2/5 Date: 1/3/2022, 7:08:24 PM Review: Everyone should be informed the ownership and leadership has changed as of 6-7 months ago. The reviews really should be reset for this business. We enrolled our daughter in the vpk program back in June (before the change). We were excited about the enrollment and really liked the director. Unfortunately between registering and the first day of VPK, the ownership changed as well as the director (without notifying us). We had to fill out all the paperwork again for the new school, which they then lost and we had to do again. While it seems to be (slowly) getting better, it is obvious they were not ready for the change and are still unorganized. It feels like they are just trying to make it as they go and slowly implementing their policies and procedures as the school year progresses. Communication is very poor, and we still receive messages in the app that have nothing to do with our child as well as pictures of her in school (when she isn't in the picture). Including a week span when she wasn't even checked into school after we informed them we would be keeping her home due to bronchitis. While they do have a live feed camera system, they hold class activities outside of the view of the cameras and frequently i cannot see/ find my child. A large part of her current development and learning is writing, while the school curriculum seems to be on point with what we expect, I had to convincing my child how to correctly spell her name as her teachers have been teaching her how to spell her name incorrectly (proof is all over the work they sent home). For the following week I told my child to make sure and tell her teachers how to correctly spell her name when they misspelled it. She reported back to me multiple days that the teachers were dismissive and told her to just be quiet and do her work. After complaining to the front desk this issue seems to be better, but we still see her name misspelled on work occasionally. There are positives, but overall we have been dissapointed in the experience with this school.

Some very rude and disrespectful people work here. Was called at work 2 hours after dropping off my 5 year old I was told she was refusing to take a nap or lay down and sit still and some of the others really needed naps in the day. Well both of my kids stopped napping at 3 plus I don't pay them to put my child to sleep I pay them to TEACH her and keep her safe. I was told I had to come get her within the hour. What if I couldn't... this place is a joke! ü§°
I checked several places for childcare for my granddaughter and finally found Colina Kids. The tour was fantastic and the staff all nice but THEN.... From the first few days I knew something was wrong. She was only 5 months old and a very happy baby to start. By the 3rd day, she was lifeless is the only way to describe it. She literally just sat there as if she had no more tears to cry. Her bottom was literally raw from not being changed. She would not eat when I brought her home and would only sleep. After the second week, two days in a trow with bruising on her forehead and that was it. I called and made a complaint to the state and the county, withdrew her and I will not ever ever go back there. Thankfully I got her into FCC in Clermont and they are sooo awesome. I'm confident she is being watched and actually cared for and she comes home happy. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE KIDS . I would give a negative star if it was an option!

not a good experience. and they never ask you to wear a mask so I guess they don't care. nobody ever refused to pay for child pick-up late charges. I'm a bussy bussines man and went to pay with a card and then they said that they only take checks or a.money order . so I agree to come next day with a check book. they said no your son can't come in. so you can't wait one more day so I can come with a check? I mean next time I'll check for reviews anyway my review really doesn't make a big difference among all the bad reviews you guys have you guys get pay for the tuition regardless. this is over a child late pick up fees.
We truly love Collina Kids! From the first day we knew this was the school/daycare for our kids. Ms. Jeanna and her staff are amazing and our kids are always looking forward to the next day.
I love school and my daughter too. The staff and the school have wonderful energy.
Take my 2 girls here and this is by far the best daycare I’ve came across! Love them!!
I absolutely love it here and so does my son!! I found Collina Kids Academy after the first daycare I had son enrolled in upset me and we needed to switch facilities quickly. Jenna, the director is extremely friendly, professional and kind as is the rest of the staff. My son adores his teachers in each room he’s been in and I appreciate the openness from the staff when I have questions and love watching my son learn a ton.
