Tell me how this keeps happening and I’m not finding out until bath time? Even when they make note of it they can’t say who is doing it. They don’t watch the children
Like a lot of other parents, we just switch our kids from this location to another. This site currently seems to lack consistent teachers. We'd often get a call stating our child can't come in due to another teacher calling out the morning of. Also I'd often wall in to see my child placed in front of a tablet playing youtube. Even though it's daycare, I was promised each class had curriculums or some kind of structure. I'd often walk into a class where the teacher kid ratio was definitely not abided by and the kids would be on the tables and fighting and screaming. Also it seem like this center has a gnat problem. I ended up having to feed my child before drop off because I'd noticed how every morning the food would sit out in the open surrounded by gnats. They also no longer accept state vouchers or transport the school age kids to riverside elementary. It's seems like I was not the only one with these concerns because I've noticed since the summer there have been an influx of parents from that location at the other location with us. I cannot recommend anyone to this center.
My daughter went from 7 weeks old to just past 3. We only switched because another facility was more affordable and unfortunately the staff at this one wasn’t consistent. We did have issues, but I could get them resolved with the directors or the DM. She learned a lot and it was a hard choice to switch. The biggest pro - the provide a lot for the cost and they have an app they update daily to see your child, potty, naps, meals, etc. The biggest cons - lack of consistent staff, they use iPads and the teachers are allowed on their phones, which sometimes meant I would walk in to the kids playing by watching an iPad on the wall and teacher just looking up from their phone on occasion.
This placed checked all the boxes initially. It’s conveniently located about 1.2 miles away from my home; the director and assistant director where both professional and seemed compassionate about their role in child care so I was willing to give it a try for my 20 month old daughter. I didn’t want to sign a contract because I was not needing a full month every month of service and knew the daily rates was based on availability. My husband and I was completely alright with this. I called and inquired about a Thursday availability for a drop off /daily rate & completed the application packet before arriving to bring my baby. I had some estate planning task that required my uninterrupted attention this day so I thought it would be a good time to test out the day care up the road. Upon arrival at 0830 everyone was so nice and friendly with me.I provided the last bit of paperwork for my child and then proceeded to follow a lady down the hall to where my daughter class would be for the day. I observed the classroom being very clean and full of vibrant colors for the babies cause after all 1 and 2 year olds are still babies and learning. This was my child very first time in this type of setting . She’s never been around other little people like her self in 20 months I was really optimistic she’d do well because she allowed me to leave her and didn’t cry when I stepped out of the class . A toy captured her attention and the rest was history or so I thought. I received a call back from this center at 10:58am-2.5 hours later stating my child was being a disruption to the class and that I need to come get her because of some behavioral issues. I panic my heart fell to the bottom of my feet . I was in a meeting for work when I receive the call and I ended it abruptly to go get her. I was met by the director who directed me to my child’s classroom. I was a guess and so I acted as such. I waited to be escorted to my child’s class for pickup. She expressed to me how they had to pull other teachers I think 2 or 3 to assist with my 1 child but there was at least 12 kids in there so I’m thinking there should’ve been 2 teachers to begin with. I didn’t bother to ask for a partial refund because I was floored that no accommodations was offered my child. Maybe moving her to a smaller class size or whatever other accommodations are available. I understood she couldn’t sleep in a crib because of laws and regulations and that’s where I thought the love and nurturing even the most different child care comes into play. I don’t think I’ll ever give another day care a chance after this experience . Oh did I mention I packed her 5 pull ups and a brand new pack of wipes and none of those items were return upon me picking her up. Maybe they treat the contract kids better than those who solely want to be a daily rate kid that’s my personal opinion; thanks for teaching me this lesson to always check my child’s items before departing anywhere and read all the fine print.
My 4 year old loves this location. The staff is attentive and helpful. Any time issues occur they document and contact us, this is extra important due to my sons allergies. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking full time care or wrap around. A++ daycare.
The staff and the director Ronnie Burse are outstanding.
The staff makes childcare their top priority, the director, Ronnie Burse, is top notch. She is your friendly, always takes time to speak, is understanding and patient with each and every kid. Kids can’t help but grow in this type of environment. If you are looking for childcare, look no further.
This is the best daycare service in town! We are foster moms and we both work full time. Our little one loves her teachers, they are attentive and truly care about her. We get updates on what she’s eaten, the activities she’s done, and more throughout the day… with pictures as well! The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have shown us how to do our little ones hair and the different products to use. To say they go above and beyond is an understatement.
I share my positive and grateful experience with family and friends on a regular basis. My son has attended this facility for almost 8 years and they are an actual part of “my village.” A true and trusted support, thank you Childcare Network♥️
