We feel so fortunate to have found the Bilingual Co-op. It has been a wonderful place for our son, Emmett, and our family. The teachers provide a caring, nurturing and fun environment. They do an excellent job of teaching through play. They allow the children to be themselves while at the same time helping them to understand boundaries and how to socialize with others. Our son is excited to go to school and loves to talk about the projects they are doing in class. We have really enjoyed being volunteering in the classroom and feel like we could not have found a better school and community for our children. Thank you so much Miss Gina and Anna Maria!
The Co-op is a unique and special school. If you are looking for a welcoming and warm environment that will foster a love of learning in your child, this is the school. The teachers Mrs. Gina and Mrs. Ana Maria are creative, attentive, loving and imaginative. Our son loves going to school each day because he loves his teachers and classmates. His emotional and intellectual growth since starting at the Co-op has been remarkable. We couldn't be happier with the school.
The Cooperative has been the bedrock for our son’s success. Ms Gina and Ms Ana Maria are kind and loving teachers with strong relationships with each child. I would recommend this school for parents who are seeking play based learning where their kids will be safe and supported along their learning journey.
IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE GETTING THROUGH BY PHONe, Please visit in person. . If I had a young child, this is where I'd take him or her learn in those oh-so-important early years. The school is run by caring staff (I've known the director, Gina for years), and is filled with love and learning. Children socialize and can learn some Spanish (essential in a global world and wonderfully useful in Miami). The school does amazing art with the children, has a fantastic playground, and has a whole wall of children's books. Plus, being a co-operative, parents know what's going on and are involved. They offer a great child-teacher ratio that allows for individualized attention. And the school helps keep an amazing, historic building (Bartram House) alive and vital on the edge of Coral Gables.
The co-op has been amazing for our 2 kids! Mrs. Gina and Ms. Ana Maria are amazing teachers, loving and fun. The outdoor playground space is incredible, full of trees and lots of bikes and outdoor toys to play with. We love the family feel it has, as the parents volunteer regularly so everyone gets to know each other and it becomes a great community. By volunteering, parents also get to see how the whole day plays out and I think this is a very unique aspect that you don't get in any other preschool. Highly, highly recommend.
I taught at elementary level for 20 years. My daughter loved her time at the Coop (as we call it)! For two years, it was a magical place for her to play, learn, laugh and grow. Now that she is in elementary school, she keeps asking to go back as alumni during the summer. The staff is so kind and caring, but by all means the children do learn healthy boundaries. Besides the amazing creative projects offered, the preschool offers English and Spanish circles, with books and songs they won't forget, hands-on initial math and games, as well as the most beautiful festivities and plenty of play in fresh air in a garden we all love! The parents become part of a nice community and get to partake in the activities (hence coop). And most of us researched many other preschools.
Best hidden gem in Miami! After a terrible experience with my son’s first pre-k my husband found this school. We had done countless interviews trying to find a fit where our son would be cared for by teachers who had a heartfelt interest in their students. As soon as I met with the teachers I knew this was the place. The first thing I saw was the big beautiful play yard. Trees, shade, and a gardening area. Inside is intimate, it’s simple, not minimalist but practical; a kids dream with play kitchens, blocks, puzzles, crafts and toys. I loved that the children are encouraged to play and create. As a Coopertive parents and grandparents are welcome! I was able to come in to do fun science projects like baking soda volcanos with the kids. My MIL was able to donate her time to come in and help the teachers. This opportunity to be a functional part of our son’s school life was a unique and valuable experience. You will be treated like family here. Ms. Gina and Ms. Anna Maria are a blessing. They love each student and the kids love them equally. At the end of the day it’s not uncommon to have your child and see other children begging not to go home yet. The play to learn aspect is wonderful. The children reach age appropriate milestones and create lifetime bonds together. We’d occasionally see alumi students returning to share their achievements, such as high school and college graduates and share their thanks for the foundation received by those teachers at pre-k.
I attended the Co-Op from 2010-2012, and am now a junior in high school. The Co-Op was such a wonderful experience for my family and I, and having been raised in a bilingual household, I was able to continue speaking Spanish at school. I met my best friend at the Co-Op, and it is an overall magical place for children with wonderful teachers and a warm, fun environment. I would not have gone anywhere else, and am so grateful my parents chose the Bilingual Co-Op for our family.
After arriving from France to Miami I was very apprehensive of leaving my two young boys in a pre school …until I fell across The bilingual Co-op! As soon as I stepped foot in the beautiful playground/garden of the school and spoke to the 2 kindest teachers Ms Gina and Ms Ana Maria, I just knew that this was the place!!! And I wasn’t wrong! After 3 genuinely amazing years, their time had come to say their goodbyes to our adopted family and head off to big kids school Sunset Elementary ( which is situated just across the road) I’m so sad to be leaving but so grateful to have had this unique opportunity for my children to learn and grown in a loving, caring and most definitely fun school!! Thank you Ms Gina and Ana Maria ❤️
I’m so happy that I found Mrs. Gina and Mrs. AnaMaria! They give so much love to my son. He is learning and enjoining so much during his time at school.
