After reviewing an incident on their cameras with Chris, I was even more concerned with how my daughter was being cared for and withdrew her that day. The toddlers are not watched. The teacher was on her phone the entire length of the video, sitting across the room. Also for anyone that doesn't know the bathrooms are coed and also shared with another classroom. The teachers allow multiple kids in there at once with no supervision.

It's really hard for me to write this because my expectations for Andover were so high. Unfortunately, after noticing a significant change in my daughter's behavior during drop-off compared to her current daycare, I feel compelled to share this review. My three-year-old daughter had been attending Andover for roughly 10 months. However, during drop-off, she would cry hysterically. Initially, I thought it was because she was still getting used to daycare, but now I suspect there were negative experiences at the school that I wasn't aware of. My husband mentioned that during pick-up, he often found her sitting or playing alone. I also observed that she wasn't as social with other toddlers as I had hoped. To understand better, I decided to stay and observe after drop-off one day. I witnessed her attempting to play with a group of kids, but unfortunately, they didn't want her to join. Two of them even hit her when she tried to play with a toy. This understandably upset her so she starter crying, but instead of intervening, the caregiver in charge complained about how my daughter was always crying. It was clear she didn't realize I was present, as I can't fathom why anyone working with toddlers would openly criticize a child for crying in front of a parent. I promptly reported this incident to one of the administrators, detailing how I had also witnessed the caregiver yelling at another crying child and calling him "disgusting" for having a runny nose. I was advised to email Chris about the incident, which I did. Later that day, when I arrived early to pick up my daughter, I was disturbed to find the same caregiver still assigned to her class. This was despite my earlier report of her behavior that morning, which was out of the ordinary. While Mr. Chris did respond to my email, our phone conversation mostly involved him defending the caregiver's reputation rather than acknowledging any wrongdoing on her part. As a result, I immediately withdrew my daughter from Andover. Since then, her behavior has drastically improved. She no longer cries during drop-off at her new school, she greets everyone enthusiastically, is more social, talks more, and genuinely looks forward to going to school. I'm grateful I trusted my instincts and stayed to observe my daughter that day. If I hadn't, I believe she would still be struggling to adjust at Andover.

My son Maximillian has been a student here for about a month, this facility is very impressive. We transferred from another day care after several incidents were mildly concerning and I can already see that this place is a serious step up. My son has learned so many new things in such a short time. The school is very clean, very secure, and you are always greeted up front by a teacher or director. When it comes to your child you want their caretaker to take the job seriously and it’s very clear that Andover Academy does just that. Great job guys, this is exactly the type of facility we were looking for.

I have been a parent at Andover for about five years, both my kids attended preschool here. I absolutely love this school, the staff is very attentive to kids and parents. The staff is always warm and welcoming, willing to listen to any concerns I may have regarding my children and help me come up with a plan to resolve. Both my kids are doing extremely well academically because of the hard work and effort that the teachers put into their curriculum. I also love that they have in house activities such as STEM, soccer, music, and ballet. I would definitely recommend this preschool to any parent looking for a school for their child in the area.

So much to write, but in short - my daughter has been going here since April 2022 and it's been a horrible experience. I tried to find another school for VPK and unfortunately everything is full. She still can't point out letters or numbers. The owner is horrible, rude. A few of the staff have made nasty comments about my political beliefs because I have a Trump sticker on my car. If there's another school, do your kid a favor and apply there first.

My daughter has been attending Andover for about 2 months now and she absolutely loves it! She is always excited to go in everyday and talks about how great her teachers are. Every staff member has been absolutely wonderful and so positive. They have great extra clubs in the school if you're interested and offer catering lunches that you can choose from on a weekly basis which I thought was a drawback at first but came to like the concept as it gives us more control over what my kids eat. The classrooms are very neat and organized which is awesome to see even with all the kids they have in a single day. Very happy to have found this place and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a warm inviting and safe place for their kids.
