From day one, Noelia Velez has been my go-to person, and I cannot speak highly enough of her professionalism and dedication. She is always on top of every detail regarding the school and its students, making my son feel special and supported. Whenever I have a concern or need assistance, Noelia is just a message away, ready to offer her support and guidance. The entire staff team has also been incredible, creating an environment where my son feels safe. I recommend this academy to any parent looking for a safe place for their child. MFA has been nothing less than Amazing!!! Being first time parents we were nervous putting him into daycare but it was one of the best decisions we've made choosing MFA. We're so happy with how smart our son is and how much he is learning everyday! All of the teachers & staff are very attentive to him & always keep us in the loop with his progress and how he is doing. It almost feels like we're family and that's a comforting feeling to have knowing our son is safe & loved. thank you MFA for all that you do day in and day out for our kiddos. <333 ----- Author: Vanessa Sanchez Rating: 5/5 Date: 4/6/2022, 7:21:12 PM Review: My first academy has been so great for my daughter. THANK YOU MY FIRST ACADEMY! 10/10 recommend! ❤️ ----- Author: Paola Pancorvo Rating: 5/5 Date: 9/16/2021, 3:48:24 AM Review: i enrolled my toddler earlier this year and i 100% recommend this daycare! it checked all the boxes that i was looking for in a daycare: caring staff, camera access, security, technology friendly (reports and communication are uploaded to their app daily). once my daughter got through the first week, she has been very happy going to and coming from daycare and has expanded her vocabulary tremendously! i love that the administration knows all their kids by first name, and they have so many fun activities that get parents involved! they just made this anxious parent feel that my child is safe and happy every time i drop her off!

Does this day care have monitoring cameras?

Yes

Many reviews explicitly mention the presence of monitoring cameras within the daycare. Therefore, the daycare appears to utilize cameras for monitoring.

Author: Julie Rating: 5/5 Date: 2/7/2025, 2:22:00 PM Review: We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional care and education our son has received at My First Academy over the past two years. After starting his journey with a nanny for the first 11 months, we were fortunate to find MFA when our nanny moved away. From the moment we stepped in for a tour, we were impressed by the immaculate environment and the presence of cameras that provided us peace of mind. Our son has thrived in this nurturing setting. He took his first steps just a week after enrollment, and by the age of one, he was already singing his ABCs. Now at two, he can confidently identify his colors and communicates exceptionally well. One of the aspects we appreciate most is the attentive care provided by the staff. Our son experiences non-breathing spells, and I am deeply thankful for Ms. Noelia's swift response when it happened shortly after I dropped him off. Teachers Ms. Kenya and Ms. Griseida acted quickly to assist him, demonstrating their commitment to the children's well-being. Whether it's a fever or a minor injury, Ms. Noelia, Ms. Adu, and Ms. Jenny always keep us informed, ensuring we feel connected and reassured. Even though there is a closer MFA location to our home, the extra travel is well worth it. The genuine care and concern for our children, coupled with the cleanliness and professionalism of the facility, make this school feel like family. We are beyond happy with the dedication of the directors and teachers at My First Academy. Thank you for creating such a wonderful environment where our son can thrive! ----- Author: Joseph Oliva Rating: 1/5 Date: 2/7/2025, 12:45:20 PM Review: Both of my daughters attended this campus. What a difference a decade makes. Downhill is not even the word for how much of a regression this institution has exhibited. The whole school needs to be scrutinized, but the culture is a reflection of ownership and the directors, especially Ms.Noelia. I was told I could walk my daughter to her class on her first day during the onboarding process, the director tried to stop us due to miscommunication on their behalf, 1st traumatic red flag. There was a day we called multiple times with no response, and when someone finally picked up the phone there was no accountability, 2nd traumatic red flag. The cameras went out for a day due to construction, with no backup plan, 3rd traumatic red flag. Finally my daughter spikes a fever while in school. By the time we were notified, no care was administered until my wife suggested an ice pack to lower the fever. As she is racing their to pick up our child she checks the camera and sees our feverish daughter sitting in the middle of the classroom with children running around her with a wet sponge in a plastic bag next to her. No consolation or emotional support being administered, rather than having a surveilled nursing room, she is being “isolated” amongst her peers who she may get sick, and to make matters worse is given a safety hazard because no one could hold the sponge to her head! Her mother arrives with constructive feedback for Ms.Noelia and is rebutted with, “If you don’t like our policy you can disenroll her!”. Ma’am, we are not degree holders in childhood eduction, but anyone with common sense would no this is not how you take care of a sick child. None the less we took you advice and removed our child immediately because you are not competent enough to direct this establishment or be in the care of young lives. You are fortunate that you insulted professionals and business owners who are patient today, because your disrespect and immaturity may not be reacted to so calmly by some of the other parents if you continue with this behavior. Everyone will now know how you failed to reassure parents in their most vulnerable moment, you are despicable. At this hour I still have not received a call from the owner, Ms.Dos Santos, but no matter how our conversation does go, if one does occur, it will not motivate me to remove this review because what has occurred is inexcusable. Ladies please ask yourselves if you’re in the right field as your classrooms progressively become more empty. The cameras and app make sure you know every little thing going on. 10/10 recommend to everyone I know ----- Author: Durlande Garraud Rating: 5/5 Date: 5/12/2023, 8:37:37 PM Review: Putting my 4 yr-old at My First Academy was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. His vocabulary is getting more extensive. I was hesitant at first to let go, but the fact they have a camera in the class put me at ease. The teachers are amazing!!! Miss Jessica and miss Stephanie know all the kids by name and that's reassuring; it shows they care to know the kids and they're not just a number to them (these two are usually the ones I mostly Interact with). I love the LifeCubby app; they log in everything your child does, from how much they eat to their nap time. I'm glad I found this campus and I would recommend it to anyone looking early childhood care/schooling. . 2nd year Review: My son is finishing up VPK and graduating to kindergarten, and I'm still very glad I chose My First Academy, most specifically this campus while the other one was closer to home. For starters my son was never in daycare & never left in the hands to anyone whom aren't his family so enrolling him and starting him in VPK was very difficult for me. But my son coming home everyday stating how much he loved his new school, teachers and friends made everything so much easier. Also being able to have access to the cameras to ensure that my son is in great hands brings me so much comfort. Every time I come to drop off or pick up my son I am always greeted with so much respect & love! Also seeing the way the teachers treat the other children bring me so much joy. It only took my son 10 days to get use to the "school routine" he loves his school, friends ans teachers. They provide you updates on an app and even access to see them on live camera. Great place!

We decided to send our 2 yo to school with so much hesitation as first time parents not knowing how he is going to adapt. From the front desk, to manager every single person at this school made this adaptation so easy for us and for our kid. Everyone is so loving and caring. The food they serve is healthy. The Safety procedures are on point. I can’t even talk highly enough about our teacher Ms Elba! She has been such an amazing change in our son‘s life. He goes to school every day so happy and looking forward to see his teacher and his friends! We love being a part of my First Academy family🩷

As a teacher at My First Academy, my goal is for the children to feel happy, while learning to relate to each other, seeking solutions to their differences, helping them to learn while they play and, above all, to feel that they are at home. Sometimes it fills me with so much satisfaction to see that when they arrive in the morning, they hug me and cry with happiness, which brings tears to my eyes too. We are happy to spend this time with a person who is small in size and big in heart.

If you want your child to feel love and in a family, My First Academy #1 is the best option. My son has been attending since he was 6 months old and every time I leave him in the morning I leave in peace because I know he is in good hands. Noelia and the teachers are compassionate and take very good care of all the kids . My child is brilliant and I have not missed his development because they always send photos and videos. Noelia is an excellent leader and that is why she has an exceptional team. I do not understand why there are bad reviews, that everything is confusing and they say the same thing. I am certain that what they say is not true. This is the best daycare that exists in Kissimmee.

If you are a mom looking for an exceptional Academy where your children’s will have the best of attention, love , care and an incredible académic program, don’t look further, you are in the right place “My first Academy 1”. 😇 My husband and I visited more than 6 daycare in the area, and honestly the only one that meet all of our requirements was “My First Academy 1“ why ??🤓 *First, the vibe when you enter the building is something relaxing, the staff is so friendly and lovely , they will take care your kids as their own, I can guarantee that . ☺️ *My daughter has a severe allergic condition to eggs , i informed them about it and so far we have never had any problems with this. The chef (Ms Yami) goes beyond expectations, reaching out to us whenever she is not sure about a specific food type. The experience have been the best and most important the safety of our child’s been well taken care of. 🙏🏼 *From day one Ms Noelia ( the director ) has been very helpful, very attentive and ready to assist on everything. Same experience with Ms Addu and Miss Jenni. 🥰 The teachers are unique, specially Ms Elva, Ms Giselle, Ms Yamira, Ms Grisaida, Ms Keara. 🙌🏻 They have a formidable and unique academic program even for the toddler. My daughter joined the academy with 20 months and 2 months later she knew the colors, the alphabet and the numbers. 🤓 My son recently joined the academy as well with 18 months, since day one has been a blessing for us as parents .😇 We are very grateful for all the attention, having my 2 kids there has been a wonderful experience, both our kids love being there with their teachers, love playing with their friends from school. Best Daycare ever🎊🎊🎊

Please Read before considering this establishment: In just two weeks of my child attending several rather disturbing situations occurred 1) On the first day of drop off we were told we can walk our 3 year old to her class for a comfortable hand off that morning the Director Noelia told us we were not allowed to enter after we expressed our concern she with an attitude and literally rolling her eyes allowed us to enter. That was our first red flag 2) On the first day I began to call at 12 pm to check on her only to be alarmed when they did not answer the phone imagine the horror not being able to contact the establishment that you have entrusted your precious child. I called 3 times from 12-2 pm when I arrived I immediately questioned the Director Noelia I was brushed off and told I didn’t call because she had the phone in her back pocket I have attached a photo of my call log when I showed her she completely brushed me off no explanation or accountability 3) The next week we got a notification due to construction internet was down and cameras were not working we called frequently to check in on our daughter and we were giving an attitude as if our calls were a nuisance we gave feedback and a suggestion for upper management to have perhaps a back up internet so parents can have peace of mind and be able to view the child on camera. 4) we get a call the baby had a 102 fever When I called back to get an update as I was on my way I asked if any care measure were taken such as ice pack placed to control the temperature until I arrived they said no but agreed to do it after we spoke. When I accessed the camera my baby was sitting on the floor with no adult near, her teacher on other side of the room I can tell she was crying other children jumping all around her while she cried the ice pack laying by her side not being applied to her. I attached a photo of the suffocating hazard they had at her side which was a Quartz bag with a sponge in it. All of this was on camera I have timestamp when I arrived , with a normal tone I asked the Director if they had a wellness room to keep sick children so they are monitored until parent arrived she rudely said “no we don’t we did our job which was to call you and you have 45 minutes until we call DCF that is the protocol. “ I asked where was the compassion for my sick child she then told me if I didn’t like it to discharge my child. I pay an astounding amount of money to this establishment so they can , not have internet , not allow me to walk my child to class their first day , not answer the phone , leave a child with a fever with a plastic bag to put on her own head while other kids trample her to then get an attitude from the Director stating we are problematic and complain too much. Please look else where to a place that will treat your child with compassion and love.
