Author: Lauren Quilan Rating: 5/5 Date: 1/8/2025, 12:49:50 PM Review: I had my daughter in La Petite from infant to 2. Overall our experience was fantastic. Yes, the facility is old/outdated, and there is high teacher turnover; however communication was always good and I felt my daughter was well cared for. Ms. Barb, Yuraima, Melissa, and Tobi specifically were always incredibly kind and attentive to my girl. Food and diapering is included with tuition, or you can bring in your own with a dr note if there are specific nutrition wishes. There are planned activities for the toddlers and frequent outside time. I always felt that my daughter was safe, engaged, and having fun.
Does this day care work with autistic children?
Yes
One review mentions a child with autism attending the facility and describes a negative experience with the daycare's response to concerns about the child's safety. This indicates that the day care accepts children with autism, but doesn't necessarily provide specialized care for their needs.

This place is a joke, honestly avoid bringing your child here. I started working back in December, and into late January, I started noticing my daughter coming home with bruises, not just little bruises, but as if someone is aggressively grabbing her by her arm, my child is also autistic, and nonverbal. I ended up confronting the main director, and what did she do? Nothing, normally most places would write you up, or more then likely fire you, what did they do? Move my child to another room, and only had “ talk” with the teacher, she’s still there. The place is also filthy, I’d see dead roaches, and even had a teacher tell me she saw a mouse. They can’t keep staff, the pay is horrible, and some teachers work 12hrs, bathroom breaks are limited because of how short staffed we are, and we’d only be getting 30 min breaks some days depending on how many teachers we had, some teachers work 10-12 hrs, pretty sure working those hours with only ONE 30 min break, is illegal. They also keep kids that bite, cuss, and hit other teachers. All the times my child has come home with bruising there was no incident report filed. The only teachers that seemed to genuinely care, and that are actually good were Mrs Barb, and Ashley in the infant room, and Lorainy in toddler 1. I only stayed because I’m a single mom with no help, and needed the money, but what I’ve been through, and what my daughter went through, it’s not worth the stress of bringing your child here.
The staff is super friendly and the class rooms are clean and inviting. The staff knows my son by name and he had only been there two weeks. They are quick to respond to messages. And the updates throughout the day on my baby are amazing. I love that I can look in when I'm not to busy a work and see him happy and playing. The staff is so attentive and it's just been amazing from the enrolling to the tour to the first day they have been amazing.
Our youngest son (almost 3) has been attending for the last month or so and we’re super happy with the communication over the app and have had no issues or concerns with care or anything like some of these other reviews are stating (not to discredit any of their concerns). Our son started with Ms. Melissa and has now transitioned into Ms. Yuraima’s class more recently. Both have been nothing but wonderful and have helped tremendously with his transition to the school!

I have really enjoyed our time at LaPetite! We came here in February of this year and it has been lovely. The staff is friendly and compassionate, they communicate often and clearly. I love the bonds my children have made with all of the staff and how they have prepared my daughter for her time at school. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a safe, and happy place for their children to learn and grow!
