Author: Miranda Jacobs Rating: 2/5 Date: 9/7/2024, 3:34:06 AM Review: Leaving two stars because I won’t enroll my child here, so I can’t speak on experience of having a child enrolled. I came for a tour today, and waited for awhile outside holding my baby until an ubereats driver dropped off someone’s food, after buzzing the doorbell over and over finally a teacher realized their FOOD was there and came to the door to find me there waiting and they were surprised to see me even though they were now late on giving me a tour. After letting me in, the woman running the front desk couldn’t answer any questions about drop in rates and had to get the director. The director comes and everyone kind of has a look on their face for me to run far far away. Anyways, I go into the infant room after being offered to go in barefoot (I chose the covers on my shoes that I put on while holding an infant, no offer to help), and within 10 seconds I could tell there was no way I’d leave my baby here. Tons of babies just standing in their cribs, a screaming baby on the floor with no one consoling them, there was a teacher rocking a baby who seemed like the only one who cared about the infants. The director kept telling me about their upcoming remodel and how much food is included, neither of these things mean as much to me as the obvious distressed children all over the room. After her talking all about how much food and formula is provided she asked if I had any questions. The obvious one I had was “what do you do with the children all day?” There wasn’t much of a response other than they read, sing, and play. That couldn’t be further than what I was witnessing here. I’m hoping I caught them on a bad day because I don’t know how any parent would be comfortable leaving their infant baby somewhere like this. ----- Author: Brian Muller Rating: 5/5 Date: 7/20/2024, 12:05:07 AM Review: My son has been in the infant room for the past 3 months with Kasey and Shayla. They are both wonderful and do an amazing job with the babies! ----- Author: Christina Lujan Rating: 4/5 Date: 7/19/2024, 12:40:05 PM Review: From a mom that has never needed care to moving and needed care La Petite has been good to us. Kasey and Shayla are amazing in the infant room with my 4 month old. My 2 yr old had a rough time but they worked with me and she’s doing a lot better and enjoys going now especially with Ms. T and Kayla there to greet her. I do wish they had more of a structured curriculum but overall a good place and they care which is what is important to me. ----- Author: Ellen Shewmaker Rating: 5/5 Date: 7/18/2024, 5:00:29 PM Review: Our little one is 6 months old and absolutely loves Miss Kasey & Miss Shayla in the infant room! Staff is open to feedback and listening to any concerns/answering questions that we have as parents, especially all the questions coming from a first-time mom! ----- Author: Chelsea Scheetz Rating: 5/5 Date: 7/16/2024, 11:40:00 PM Review: My family and I love La Petite Academy! Kasey and Shayla in the infant room always take the best care of our daughter! ----- Author: Takara Echols Rating: 1/5 Date: 3/6/2024, 12:32:47 PM Review: If I could zero stars I definitely would. The daycare is not sanitary. Frequent police presence at the facility with no explanation as to why. When viewing cameras in infant room often kids are left unattended for periods of time. Staff is dismissive of concerns. Front staff is rude and has malicious retaliatory practices once child is removed from center. Mommies beware and do your research. ----- Author: Emerald Burton Rating: 5/5 Date: 11/3/2023, 12:25:00 AM Review: I have 3 children who attend this childcare facility. An infant, a toddler and one who attends after school. I never worry about my babies and if I miss them or get anxious, I can view them at all times and see how they are. I can call with any questions or concerns and know they will be taken care of. They really care and love those who attend. My kids will be here until they cannot be lol ----- Author: Kristen Green Rating: 1/5 Date: 9/6/2023, 6:35:35 PM Review: I trusted the infant room to care for my child and they left him in the same diaper from morning until 6:00 pm and I was questioned by the director how did I know it was the same diaper ? I explained to her I have diapers for at home and diapers for the daycare center and then she sat my baby on her lap and urine ran down her leg. So I don’t know why she was questioning how I knew it was the same diaper with pee running down her leg. Then a week later a boy was on the news with his mother for the same thing that happened to my child. She was upset that her son never had his pull up changed all day and reported to the news station, and a month before these two incidents there was a childcare worker arrested for breaking a toddlers arm and while I was there I saw the police walk in to the center and asking questions about what happened to this child care worker who did this evil thing to an innocent child. I highly recommend doing your research first before choosing a child care center and make sure their facility is clean and just know the infant room is the highest paid room or the most you pay for tuition is the infant room. So if the infant room isn’t clean or isn’t up to your expectations move on to finding a different child care center. The infant room should always have high standards because it’s the most expensive room. I recommend Little Giants on Big Bend or Kids Cove Learning Academy on Balm Riverview Road. Don’t waste your time here….

Author: Ranessa Rouse Rating: 5/5 Date: 3/9/2024, 12:24:39 AM Review: This has been the best experience I’ve had with daycare. I love the approach to learning and letting the kids play and explore without micro managing their imaginations. I love that they have cameras and I can check on my child at any time. The staff is very welcoming and kind. All of m concerns which were very little like making special accommodations for my child while adjusting to a new daycare we addressed immediately and met with professionalism and compassion. It feels like a second family. I’m thankful for a place that I can depend on and know that my child is safe and really enjoying herself. My child is thriving socially and learning new things every week which is what I wanted. I’m really happy and excited about all the new programs and the new playground. Thanks to the staff and teachers for all of your care and efforts. ----- Author: Takara Echols Rating: 1/5 Date: 3/6/2024, 12:32:47 PM Review: If I could zero stars I definitely would. I absolutely love the care provided by LPA. If I ever have a question or suggestion, I’m always bothering Miss Jill, and she’s always prompt and gets things done. I love that they changed up the curriculum, and is more classroom focused! My kids come home talking about all the new stuff they learned that day and I love it! The staff is amazing and always trying to improve where they or we (parents) see fit. When my kids started of course it took a while, but the teachers really did their best to make my kiddos feel comfortable. The cameras in the facility made it even more reassuring and eased this crazy mamas mind lol. I would recommend LPA for your kiddos without any hesitation. ----- Author: m Brown Rating: 5/5 Date: 9/4/2023, 8:55:02 PM Review: My baby has been attending this daycare for the last month and he’s adjusted so well!! I love all the teachers in the infant classroom!! Kasey, Kristen and Kaliyah are amazing. Tiffany at the front desk is very professional and helpful and Jill has helped out multiple times in the infant classroom. I appreciate all the staff at this daycare and will continue to bring my son here. FYI-they have cameras you can log in and watch your child and they also provide diapers, wipes, and formula. So you’re not only getting premium service for your child but your also getting a really great deal for your money.

This place is a joke. I left a bad review previously and they responded by advising me to call an 800 number to discuss. Sounds great. They seem concerned. Nope you get a csr that wants to take my complaint again. There is no one to discuss this with. I am now going to post anywhere I can advising how bad this daycare is. DO NOT BRING YOUR BABIES HERE. IF YOU ALREADY DO, WATCH THE MONITOR. AFTER WHAT YOU SEE YOU WILL WANT TO REMOVE YOUR CHILD!!!
Horrific. Do not bring your baby here. They lay the baby's out on the floor all day and step over them while they cry. They force feed them by holding the baby's chin and shoving the food in and you can tell the baby doesn't want it. I was horrified watching my grandson in this place. I saw a little baby on the floor with this thick rubber boppy thing around their head. They could not move to roll over or see anything but the sides of this thing. The baby cried in this thing for over a half hour. They saw the baby but just walked by. No one went to see if the baby was OK or to console her. My grandson was left in a crib crying hysterically for at least 25 minutes. We told them he has disabilities. He is missing a quarter of his brain and aspirates while eating. He was in the highchair being force fed and banging the back of his head against the back of the highchair when they let go of his chin. I called and yelled stop feeding him, you could kill him by doing that. Needless to say he will not be going back, he didn't even last a week. I feel sorry for all the other baby's. Families should watch the monitors they will not like what they see.
I enrolled my two-year-old daughter in this daycare center for a three-hour trial, but unfortunately, discovered several alarming issues that led to my decision to withdraw her immediately. During the initial tour, Director Jill was welcoming, and the facility appeared clean, but I was not informed about the presence of male teachers. It was only during pickup that I learned there were two male teachers supervising the children, which was deeply concerning to me. Given the industry norm of approximately 5% male daycare teachers, I was taken aback by this unexpected revelation. As a parent, I have legitimate concerns about male caregivers attending to my daughter's “intimate needs” ( assistance with using bathroom/ diaper changes) and I believe it's essential to prioritize her safety and well-being. When I expressed my concerns, I was unfairly accused of discrimination, but I clarify that my reservations stem from societal norms, child safety considerations, and parental instincts, rather than bias. Ultimately, compounded with issues like their high teacher-to-child ratio, lack of transparency in meal planning, and limited live camera feed access, my husband and I made the decision to withdraw our child from the center. It was just not a good fit for my family and I .
If I could give zero stars I would . This daycare is very unprofessional my son and daughter have only been going there for 7 days and I had to remove them . The VPK teacher told me my 4 year old son has been targeting someone in the class and has given him 10 incident reports in the past 3 days and he just started . Instead of callin myself and coming up with a plan I was told I can remove my child and would not be charged by the director .the fact that I am active duty military and have no family in the area this has taken a toll on my family . I will not recommend this daycare and this is the one on Riverview I cannot speak for the other ones in the Tampa area

I am absolutely appalled by the experience my children had at this school. My 4-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son attended for less than a few hours, and it was an absolute nightmare. When I dropped them off, I immediately noticed there was only one teacher supervising a large group of 20 or more children of different ages. Concerned, I went to the front desk and asked why there was only one teacher. I was told that the VPK teacher would arrive at 8:00 am. It was about 7:50 am at the time, so I thought it wouldn’t be too long. However, less than three hours later, I received a call from Bryan Fredrick, telling me to pick up my daughter because she wasn’t a good fit for their VPK program. When I arrived, they had already decided to expel my daughter on her first day, with no warning or opportunity for discussion—just because of their policies. I was shocked to hear that she was supposedly climbing shelves, playing with the sink water, and biting other children. While I understand the biting issue, my daughter has never exhibited such behavior before. She has brothers, cousins, and attends a ballet class with over 200 kids, and we’ve never had any complaints from other teachers. How did this situation escalate so quickly? And why was my child on top of shelves or playing near a sink that isn’t even in her classroom? It’s clear that she wasn’t being properly supervised. To make matters worse, she came home with bruises on her right leg. In contrast, at her new school, I always ask how she’s doing, and I’ve received no complaints whatsoever. I thank God that nothing worse happened while she was there. As for my 1-year-old son, he comes home black and blue from crying so much, yet not once did the school call me to pick him up or check on his well-being. This experience has been traumatic for both my children and me. I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone. It’s a disaster waiting to happen.
Miss.Heather is the absolute best !! She always ensures my child is comfortable and safe while always using redirection when needed ! Miss Jill is awesome at addressing any concerns I’ve ever had . Also all of the la Pettit staff is wonderful kind friendly & always smiling. Looking forward to the new renovations this school will have to revamp their look along with all the great teachers there!
