Author: Nesrene Watson Rating: 5/5 Date: 3/29/2022, 6:01:26 PM Review: I highly recommend Miami Autism Recovery Pre-School for its consistently and approach to teaching. The curriculum is focused on behavioral, social, academic and self-help skills along with individualized session with each student's therapist. Parents are kept up to date on group activities, social interaction with videos and pictures. A detailed activities report is also given at the end of each day. This school has been a tremendous gift to my son who at the age of 3 could only speak two words and had melt down on and average of 5 minutes. Now he's a model student who tells me he wants to go to school to see his friends. Your child will benefit greatly from attending Miami Autism Recovery Pre-School!! ----- Author: Samuela St Fleur Rating: 5/5 Date: 3/29/2022, 3:27:46 PM Review: My son was diagnosed with autism and ADHD back in 2021. At first we tried to put him in a public school and he struggled a lot there . Although they tried their best the staff did not have the experience or training to deal with our baby. Then through research on Google i found out about MARP and when i read what the school was about and how they provid support for children like my son i became super exited. I decided to get in contact with miss Kathy as soon as i could. From my first appointment i was impressed by the school structure and organization . each child has a personalized curriculum made for them based on their level of struggle and needs. My little one started the school last year October. OMG he loooooves that school. The one on one attention he receives, the support from the therapist working there, the fun from being able to be around other kids and play and learn. everything contributed to make his experience there amazing. Im super happy with the choice i have made choosing that school. My son did not know how to properly socialize nor was he speaking. After 6 months being there my son is currently making sentences, adressing his needs, socializing, and properly interacting with others. The experience is great so far and i hope others will get to benefit the same way that he has.

We, the autistic people don't have to recovery of ANYTHING. 2.After the owner answer I am even more convinced of going forward with a demand to this person. And I promise I will do it . I've copy of her answers so I have everything that I need to proceed. ----- Author: no one Rating: 5/5 Date: 4/6/2022, 6:40:28 PM Review: I would give 1000* stars ⭐️ if I could. Where do I start? At the end of 2019, my youngest son was diagnosed with autism (among other related diagnosis). It goes without saying, this was a shocker. What is NOT discussed enough is how tough it is to navigate treatment, therapy, or insurance benefits. Every article, journal, specialist, association, and/or group preaches early intervention is necessary to help your child. NOT ONE of these ever states how hard it is to get the services started. It took about 3 months to have 3 medical professionals diagnosed him with autism. I tried CARDs ---apparently the leading association for autism. What a joke. They wouldn't "pass" my application despite multiple calls, submitting reports and documentation, and insurance information. I HAD 3 different medical professional diagnosis. Finally--someone asked if I wanted my application--submitted anyways "but it will likely be denied". I said yes. To be noted, this is all before getting a magical call to schedule an evaluation if your child (with an autism diagnosis by 3 DIFFERENT at professionals) truly needed ABA therapy. Meanwhile, after cold calling therapy companies from a google search was finally able to find a company that was able to get approval from insurance company and schedule evaluation. CARDs called me over a month later--what a joke. Back to Miss Kathy---absolute GODSEND. Her school is small, family oriented, and tailored to autistic children (on any degree of the spectrum). I initially contacted her for information in December 2019 but due the aforementioned ordeal and pandemic starting, I did not follow-up until May 2020. She help us with the additional therapies. My son started the school shortly afterwards. My son has always been very social (at least to the children he is familiar with), he communicated at the age of 3.5 with 1-2 word sentences, played with toys (inappropriately ie flipping cars over to spin wheels), had endless energy, climbed everything, had to be in control, at times aggressive, impulsive, and quick to say "NO" (for anything and everything). This was how he started Miss Kathy school. Fast forward April 2022: He is speaking in sentences. He knows his colors, name, letters, numbers, objects, emotions. He has empathy and sympathy. Impulse control, understanding of consequences, and focus has exponentially improved. His growth and continued development in the last 2 years has been phenomenal. I attribute it to the love, caring, and consistency of Miss Kathy and his various therapy (speech, ABA, occupational). She is always loving, gentle, understanding, and kind. She works with each family individually. She shares her wealth of information from personal experiences and research without pressure or judgement. I can not say or ever thank her enough in helping us navigate this time in our life. Her infinite patience and love for the children truly amazes me. She help us through a very tough time. My son will be leaving MARP this year and will be starting 1st grade. I wish she had grades up to college prep.

Our Ukrainian family is very glad we found this Preschool for our boy in Miami. We are very thankful to miss Kathy, who puts all her soul to this place and works with special kids. Here children have gluten-free, lactose free diet food, it is very precious and important for us. Also there is individual attitude to every kid, because they have therapists working 1 for 1 child and that’s great. We celebrated the first month at preschool yesterday and our son already has great success in new language, he came to this place without speaking English at all. We wish all the best to the people, who works at this preschool and helps kids step by step every day.
At MARP every little one is a princess or a prince. Where we implement an effective discipline for an individual approach to the symdrom. I remember last year, my adorable son, was a disruptor in class and other social activities with little hope on the academic side for some. Now I have a Model who knows how to pose, an assistant who helps with class activities. and even a possible Picasso. Above all, He makes my heart vibrate and I am proud when I listen to him repeat the song ABC by himself and count to 20. For me, this miracle happens because the director and her staff make this school a family atmosphere while looking for unique abilities in each child and this with a big hear
The best school for autism by far. Miss Kathy is the best.
Ms.kathy the owner of the school is amazing not only is she knowledgeable about the spectrum the kids have , she makes the school fun, every morning my son runs to the school to be greeted by Ms.kathy who takes the kids temperature. he also greeted by his favorite teacher Mr.Lucas.. these two people have been a blessing to our family because they help teach my son n myself who I am a first parent as Cj is my first son. They learn from counting, shapes, singing, following directions,n also fun activities they have on a.daily. they also have a time they go outside for activities, they teach them English Spanish n French which is pretty cool. I like that each kid has there own therapists so they get a.one.on one learning experience n then they all get mixed up in the end to have fun free play activities thru out the day . Amazing school!!! for kids with atusimn, they're friendly, nice,n very professionals they treat the kids there as it was there own. Thank you Ms.kathy and Mr.Lucas...
Ms. Kathy is a saint and a blessing to any parent who’s child is enrolled in her school. She is extremely kind, thoughtful and passionate about what she does. She even hosts free workshops for parents to understand autism from the children’s perspective with nutrition tips and how to implement ABA at home. Thank you for all that you do Kathy!

My son was diagnosed on the spectrum at the age of 2, despite working In the medical field, I felt lost and overwhelmed with all the therapies and appointments and loop holes I had to get through in order to start his journey of therapies. My friend referred me to MARP and stated her son has done great in Ms. Kathy's school. At first I was so nervous since my son is non-verbal and would bang his head a lot. Ms. Kathy reassured me he would be in great hands. Just writing this review makes me tear up because my son has improved in so many ways that I never knew he could. My son had went from non verbal to now saying colors, numbers, and animal sounds. He communicates better, and is able to socialize with other children. I love the fact my son is able continue with his therapies in school and they have a 1 on 1 ABA therapist with each child. Ms. Kathy truly loves all of her students and is very knowledgeable on helping each student. I also love that at the end of the day you recieve a report on your child's day. My son absolutely loves going to MARP, the minute I take him out of the car he runs straight to the door ready to get his temp check and gives a hug to Ms. Kathy and his ABA therapist. I highly recommend MARP, if you are interested in enrolling your child here. Enrolling my son at MARP was one of the best decisions I ever made! Thank you Ms. Kathy for all that you do!!!
This school is God sent!!! Honestly I I couldn’t have asked for a better preschool. My son has made so much improvement since going to Ms. Kathy school. She’s an amazing person who care about the children and parent. It was hard for me at first, not knowing what to do, or where to go after finding out my son was the spectrum. I remember calling her sad and crying and she broke everything down to me step-by-step, and here We are almost a year later and my son has improved! Thank you again Ms.Kathy
