Do not send your children here! I am a compassionate caregiver with 25+ years of experience and wouldn’t dream of sending a child here. They claim to follow conscious discipline, but it is not done well and the children suffer due to a lack of knowledge, experience, training & compassion at Ivy Hill.

This afterschool program does not have sufficient staffing to handle supervision for children. My child has been experiencing bullying while in the care of this program and the teachers do absolutely nothing to protect or document the bullying.

With me not being from Florida and not having family here I wondered when I got ready to return to work who I would get to watch my child. After making the decision to go back to work I researched and came across Ivy Hill Academy. From the very first day I started working until this day Ms. Maria and Ivy Hill Academy has become our family and we have been pleased with all the knowledge and skills that our son has gained since attending here. He knows every teacher by name and has built his own relationship with them. Ms. Maria was his very first teacher and she has become his second mother. Although she is not his teacher as of now, she still goes to check on him throughout the day to make sure he is okay and sends me pictures to reassure me that he is fine. I am so happy that I can drop him off at school and I am able to work with peace of mind knowing that he is in good hands. I want to say thank you to all the staff who love on my baby boy and teach him all he has learned. If you are looking for a place to enroll your child this is the place to be!!!

We are very grateful for Ivy Hill, In particular the teachers that our daughters have had. The level of comfortability our daughter has with Mrs Maria is priceless. Mrs Maria has left a huge lifetime impact on our oldest as she gets ready to age out of IHA. The smaller teacher-student ratio, the conscious discipline..the fact that every staff member in the building knows our daughters names. In general-We have had a very positive experience at Ivy Hill and would recommend.

Both of our children have attended Ivy Hill Academy and we love the conscious discipline approach!!! The teachers are awesome… We are grateful to have such a safe and loving environment for both of our kids to experience!!

Be careful sending your child here. I’ve watched my sons teacher physically pick up the child and move them for sitting in the wrong spot on the carpet. I’ve witnessed staff yelling at children. My sons teacher is always on her phone. My son was hit and bit within a week. There’s no cameras to review staff or student interactions. Also, the bathroom has three toilet with the door always open so your child has to use the bathroom in front of staff, classmates, and other parents. The child has no bathroom privacy. If you confront staff, they say you’re abusive and don’t believe you when you are clearly upset about the issue. Also, first six weeks of class, they do not do school work to confront “behaviors.” However, this method clearly doesn’t work as my son was hit and bit after this period. The child broke his skin and he has a massive bit mark. Do not send your child here because they aren’t being monitored correctly.

Ivy Hill Academy has been amazing for our son. He was just a little behind with his speech, but since going to Ivy Hill he’s had a true word explosion. The way they go about teaching conscious discipline to not only the kids, but in a respectful and professional way to the parents is amazing and incredibly helpful. Ms. Maria and Ms. Emily are so patient, caring and loving to our little man. An example of this is Ms. Maria taking the extra time at drop off to teach me “ I love you rituals” to practice at home with my son at drop off and Ms. Emily stepping in and giving Jackson extra attention on family days when my husband and I aren’t able to attend due to work. The communication is amazing. Overall, I can’t recommend this daycare enough. They really genuinely care about these kids.
