My son started at 3.5 months and we were satisfied with the care from the infant room. A couple months into enrolling, they would move teachers in and out of that room and only had 1 teacher that was constantly in that room, and that’s where things went south. I decided to remove my son, after multiple biting situations and they forgot to feed my son his bottle and had no explanation or couldn’t remember the last time he was fed. He got bit by another student, that should have been moved to the toddler room at this point, they reported the bite to me, but when I went to pick him up, he had a 2nd bite on his foot, that they had no idea about. I had to contact the director and felt like she dismissed my concerns and honestly copied off goggle why toddlers bite. BUT this is an infant room not a toddler room. Carry on, a couple months after from the 2nd bite incident, I picked him up from daycare at my usual time, and I went in the fridge to pick up his belongings, and noticed a full bottle. I questioned as to why the bottle wasn’t given to my son, both teachers looked at me and couldn’t tell me why, one said “I fed him at 11am but not sure why he wasn’t fed at 3pm”…..turns out that teacher was lying and in-fact another teacher actually fed his 11am bottle. So no one could give me an explanation. I brought it to the directors attention, and I was told that I need to go over his schedule with the teachers again and he is eating snacks and regular food. But anyone that has infant, knows formula/BM is the priority until they turn 1. Plus bottle schedule never changed, so not sure why I would have to go over it again. The next day I get a notification in the app that my son got bit again, well actually it was labeled “attempted bite” but this was no attempted bite, he had 5 teeth marks and I could see the child’s gum outlines on my sons legs. That’s when I decided to pull my child. I read reviews before putting my son in daycare in October 2021, and felt comfortable with putting my son here. I hope you read the recent reviews and let this help your decision.

DP Lexington Oaks is fantastic! I can’t say enough great things about the staff here. DP is very welcoming, organized and has such clear communication via emails, social media, daycare app, etc. So happy we FINALLY found a daycare that feels like home!

This is my childhood daycare. In my view and opinion as a child, whenever I walked into this building it was no different than walking into my home. I connected very well with the teachers and my peers. The staff that worked there when I was still in the school were supportive and helpful. I truly have never had a better experience with a school than this one.

As "Nana" I'm blessed to pick up my Grandson on Wednesdays and we discuss his day. He is always happy, well cared for and EDUCATED -not babysat! Plenty of schools to select from in the area. The fam picked Discovery. It's is a great place from the people to the property!

Today I received an email at 1:49 pm from the owner stating that she received a phone call from another students teacher with allegations of my son “bullying.” This is out of character for my son, however her email to me was egregious. She immediately took the word of a teacher who called and relayed information and wrote me an email stating immediate action needed to be taken. Now please keep in mind, my son is only there for before and after school. So she received a call from the elementary school during school hours and before speaking to ANY child involved or other children on the bus or her staff, she immediately jumped to conclusions and decided my child did it and was the problem. Upon speaking to my kid, he found out another little boy had a crush on another little girl and told the other little girl about it. This is FAR from bullying as bullying is with intent to cause harm. My child was not trying to HARM or HURT anyone. The owner VERY easily could have sat both kids down, got to the bottom of it, and worked out a resolution. However she chose to not only send an email but PRINT the email for the girl at the front desk to give me when I picked up my son. This is so incredibly unprofessional and incompetent. If you are going to OWN a childcare facility and not take the due care to address and appropriately handle a situation, you have no business being there. As a mother, I don’t condone bullying. However I am a customer and I pay a hefty tuition for my children and for someone to handle things this way, is extremely unsettling.

The only reason my child goes here is because it’s so convenient in location and the only daycare with a spot open, but when the new daycare opens up next door I’ll be moving immediately. I’m not one to post reviews ever, but Discovery Point sent out something telling all of us parents that if we leave a positive review in 3 places (even told us to just copy and paste) that they would give us a credit towards our tuition. The school is so down hill that they had to bribe us to make good reviews, just to make the school look better. So all of these recent good reviews you are seeing are FAKE. The teachers are unpleasant and not trained well and the staff up front are so inconsiderate and catty. I don’t think I’ve ever walked in the building morning or night and not seen them with their cell phones in their hands!! My baby has had multiple injuries and I never get a call to let me know. Half the time I get a paper to sign about it and that’s it. Sometimes I don’t and just find them when I get home. I can’t wait to go to the new center.

Our son has attended Discovery Point since age 3. He is very happy there and the staff are all pretty awesome. They greet him each morning when we come in. He has learned a lot there and has done really well in Elementary school. He is now in their before and after care program which is a great convenience for us with working full time. They help him with his homework and he gets free time to get out all his energy. Thanks DP!
