At 2.5 & 1 yrs old they were switched into daycare from being home & the transition was smooth. The cameras helped me feel more comfortable with someone else watching my kiddos. Definitely made the transition easier. ----- Author: Amanda Noegel Rating: 5/5 Date: 1/24/2024, 6:32:13 PM Review: First of all I would like to say how much We love Lapetite academy. My daughter is 3 years old has been going to LaPetite academy for a while now. Her teacher Ms.Erika whichis go great with her and the other kids she has taught my daughter how to write letters in her name, counting and so much more. while at home She will find letters and numbers for me while she is playing with her foam letters at home and even were ever she see's letter and numbers. Even though they have cameras in the school. I feel safe and don't have to worry about watching her on the cameras after i drop her off. With the management and staff she is in a safe place. I highly recommended bring your child to la Petite academy. ----- Author: Ivonne Swam Rating: 1/5 Date: 5/5/2021, 12:52:07 PM Review: I have read in the reviews that the director nissa is rude, not friendly, and of a person called ruth who hurt a child, that the cameras are broken and for these reasons I do not think it is safe for children and family and children should go inspect the place. I have been terrified to read these reviews

My son has been going to la petite now for a couple months and i could not be more happier. From day one everytime i walk into the building the management team always greets me with a warm heart. I know there’s camera access but i feel as though i dont have to log in because i feel safe leaving my child with the teachers. I get notifications throughout the day with all sorts of updates on my child, whether it’s as small as a scrape on knee or a simple greeting . i’m ecstatic that both me and my child are apart of the la petite family and i look forward to the years to come.
i just love this daycare it’s a warm, loving, cozy environment. I feel safe leaving my son there.
Completed a few tours in Gainesville for my infant for daycare/preschool... this place was less than stellar. This review is based on my experience from Dec 2022. I needed a place for my daughter to start in January 2023, when i called i was told there was availability for infants. Showed up for the scheduled tour and the director maybe took less than 5 mins to show just the infant room and not the rest of the facility. Gave very little information about the place... essentially was not a great tour. I did explain that it was my first experience with daycare, my first child. Not much information was given about the enrollment process and requirement to may the non refundable enrollment fee of $135 to secure any spot. I was unaware of this. After maybe saying 5 sentences in our brief tour I was given a packet and the tour was over, but that there was a spot in January available. At no point did she explain that I had to pay the enrollment fee, sign paperwork, etc to secure the spot (again, I'm new to this). I called 2 days later to say that I was interested in the spot and was told the spit was now gone and there was no availability until February. Once she actually explained the process of holding any spot I decided to pay the fee however apparently the fee had to be paid in person and paperwork needed to be dropped off. I got in my car and drove to the daycare within 1 hr of the phone call, ready to take the spot... and apparently now the spot was gone and there was no availability until the 1st week of April. I felt that they were extremely unorganized and I was giving the run around. Not to mention EXPENSIVE, for what the daycare looked like and was offering (remember the tour was quite subpar). I decided to pay the enrollment fee because my options were few at that point and was told I would receive a call should a spot open up before April. Either way, I could expect a call before her anticipated start date regarding her first day, etc. Between the months of Jan 2023-March 2023... I never heard from LaPetite or its director. I was regretting having to put my daughter there simply because they seemed so unorganized and I couldn't trust them to care for my daughter well when I was at work. Luckily I received a call from another daycare 1 week before she was "supposed" to start at LaPetite. Thank God for that. Not surpringly, I never heard from LaPetite or its director after paying the enrollment fee for her to start in April. No one has called to follow up regarding if she was attending or not. $135 down the drain and they didn't seem to care that a child who was supposed to start didn't even show. I do not recommend this place. A piece of advice you shoukd look up any daycare in the area on the DCF website to see any current or past violations.
Super unprofessional. I showed up for my tour at 4pm just to be told they called me around 12pm to inform me there were no more infants spots available when they told me just the day before there were several open. Why even schedule a tour if you’re just going to skip people? And the director was short and simply, rude. She made it seem as though it was my fault because I didn’t answer the phone, when I was at this thing called WORK, which is why I desperately need children. Wont be going back here. What a waste of high reviews lol

My son went here from about 6 weeks to 6 months. The staff in the infant room were excellent - attentive, quick to respond to questions, and positive. They helped maintain a physical therapy regimen for my son during his hours at daycare. This was tremendously appreciated and helpful. They were always on top of his supplies, communicating before they ran out. My son generally was smiling during drop offs and pick ups - he seemed to enjoy being with them! The director Lisa was also great. Any time I had a request or question, she was respectful and accommodating. She took all of my requests seriously and without judgement (even the "picky" parent requests like what order to drink the bottles, which baby clothes to use, when/how to use creams, etc). She was direct and effective. She was active in her role, always attentively working. They also use a very helpful app. It includes a log of what went on during the day. It was useful and it made me feel somewhat "connected" as I got updates throughout the day. It was also an effective way to communicate with the staff. Sadly, I had to change daycares because of cost. Despite my positive experience, I couldn't justify it when I got into a more affordable school. All around however, I am leaving on a positive note - I had a very positive experience!
I love this place my son is extremely happy. He enjoys his teacher and friends. Ms. Nissa the director is the best helpful and always willing to assist with anything. I've never had any issues not sure why the starts are showing 3.6 because this is definitely hands down one of the best daycare I've dealt with. Out of all the one's I checked out they were the better fit for me and my family when we relocated to Gainesville.
Great daycare, with an excellent staff. One of my daughter's teacher has been kind enough to even do my daughter's hair, which I incredibly appreciate. Both of her teachers are phenomenal, and do a great job in building relationships with their kids. My daughter is basically ready to run in every single morning. I've had her at a few different daycares, and I'd rank La Petite as our favorite. I would definitely recommend La Petite of Gainesville!
